Small businesses could become big and big could become small, but they generally opposed socialism, big government, regulation, and high taxes. For this reason, they generally supported the Republican Party. 

It was also a time of class malleability, with people moving in and out and up and down. There were always gaps between rich, middle, and poor but they were not as wide as now, and there was a healthy rotation among them. 

In the last ten years, and accelerating dramatically in the last three, this has changed.

So, the European Commission president announces that the EU is joining the war on the side of the Ukrainian Nazis, and Washington’s idiot UN Ambassador accuses Putin of escalating the war.  We see here the results of Putin’s far too many years of keeping his patience with the West.  The West has grown accustomed to imposing punishment upon punishment on Russia with no consequences to itself.  Now suddenly there are consequences, and it is all Putin’s fault.

Sputnik: The price of March futures for gas in Europe has jumped to over $1,636 per 1,000 cubic metres, up 60% from Wednesday's indices after Germany froze certification for the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Ex-Russian President Dmitry Medvedev did not rule out on Tuesday that EU gas prices may hit the threshold of 2,000 euros per 1000 cubic metres.

The European gas price is continuing its rally: according to Bloomberg's Tuesday report, it had already jumped by as much as 13% on "geopolitical tensions" over the Ukraine crisis. New Zealand High Court: Vaccine Mandate Not "Demonstrably Justified", Breach Of Rights

The New Zealand High Court has upheld a challenge to a vaccine mandate for Police and Defence Force staff, stating that it was not a “demonstrably justified” breach of the Bill of Rights.

Authored by Katabella Robert: Justice Francis Cooke was asked by a group of Police and Defence Force personnel to judicially review the vaccine mandate enacted under the COVID-19 Public Health Response Act in December.

The mandate required all Defence Force personnel and all Police constables, recruits, and authorized officers to receive two doses of the vaccine by March 1.

But on Jan. 6, three unvaccinated staff who did not wish to receive the shots sought a judicial review of the mandate. They were supported by affidavits from 37 of their colleagues in the same position.
