Greece Threatens To Seize German Property, Berlin Refuses To Pay WWII Reparations

RT: Germany says it won’t pay Greece World War 2 reparations after Greek PM Alexis Tsipras said Berlin is using legal tricks to avoid paying compensation. Germany says it’s honored its obligations, while Greece says it may start seizing German property.
Germany once again dismissed Greek demands to pay reparations for the 1941-44 Nazi occupation of Greece.
"It is our firm belief that questions of reparations and compensation have been legally and politically resolved," said Steffen Seibert, the spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Equality? What Exactly Do You Mean By That?

By Luigi Logan (aka Fidelbogen): In the course of dispute, many a feminist will inform you that you “don’t know what feminism really is”, and instruct you to “look in the dictionary”. They will pronounce this with an air of immutable finality, as if they had settled the question for all time. In deference to their wisdom, I share the following dictionary entry:

Feminism -n: 1 : the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes.

This definition is the source of the oft-heard claim that “feminism is about equality”, meaning that it seeks to establish equality of the sexes in the form suggested. We call this “dictionary feminism”, and if you enquire to know what feminism really is, it establishes a core minimum that nearly any feminist would publicly agree upon.
The problem with dictionary feminism is that it does not exist outside the dictionary.

The Gender Pay Gap Is Baloney. Most Women Would Rather Not Run Megabank PLC

By Laura Perrins: On Sunday, I sacrificed my usual roast lunch to do the rounds of broadcasting studios, attempting to explain why International Women’s Day is a load of old nonsense. It was fun but I had to face the usual lines that there is a gender pay gap and how things are shockingly bad for women in the First World.

I have written about this gender pay gap garbage before but it needs to be said again. I believe that the ‘gender pay gap’ is mostly down to female preferences for different work, and not either de jure or de facto discrimination against women on a systematic or industrial scale.
One of my opponents, a writer, informed us all that it was terrible that of FTSE 100 board members only three per cent were women  (or something along those lines). The feminists would have us believe first that this is terrible for all of human and woman kind and second that this is down to discrimination.
I am left wondering what is the net good for society of having more women on boards? Are we to believe, for example, that they will be more honest, and therefore accounting scandals at Tesco may not happen? Perhaps, but I am not convinced.
Even if there is a benefit to society, one must also consider the cost. Will it mean more children are not raised ‘in house’? Probably, and I for one believe there is greater benefit to be had if children are raised in the family instead of being farmed out.

Tsipras Slams “Crimes Of Third Reich And Hitler’s Hordes", Threatens Seizure Of German Assets

Submitted by Tyler Durden: Earlier today, despite fears that it may not find enough cash to fund its latest T-Bill rollover, Greece was able to sell €1.3 billion of three-month Treasury bills, covering the amount it wanted to refinance a maturing issue, in what Reuters dubbed was an "auction that tested its ability to raise funds amid a cash crunch." The paper came at a higher cost as the T-bills were priced to yield 2.70 percent, up 20 basis points from 2.50 percent in a previous sale in February, the country's debt agency PDMA said.

However, this latest funding appears to have brought Greek funds to a critical low level because roughly at the same time news broke that Greek Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos said he is ready to sign an older court ruling that will enable the foreclosure of German assets in Greece in order to compensate the relatives of victims of Nazi crimes during the Second World War.
