Russian President Says US Plotted ‘Coup’ In Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Washington of organizing what he describes as an armed coup in Ukraine, saying Moscow saw through the US ploy of hiding behind Europe in the bid to overthrow the former Ukrainian government.
Press TV: “The trick of the situation was that outwardly the [Ukrainian] opposition was supported mostly by the Europeans. But we knew for sure that the real masterminds were our American friends,” Putin said in an interview for a documentary dubbed “Crimea - The Way Home,” that was aired Sunday by Rossiya 1 news channel.
“They helped training the nationalists, their armed groups, in Western Ukraine, in Poland and to some extent in Lithuania,” he said, adding that “they facilitated the armed coup.”
Putin also explained that, during the Western-backed coup in Ukraine, which eventually led to the removal of then-President Viktor Yanukovich, “the law was thrown away,” alleging that “the beneficiaries of the coup” attempted to assassinate Yanukovich (pictured below) but that Putin personally got involved to ensure his flight out of the country.

Truth Is Our Country

By Paul Craig Roberts: In the United States real journalists are scarce and are becoming more scarce. Journalists have morphed into a new creature. Gerald Celente calls US journalistspresstitutes,” a word formed from press prostitute. In other words, journalists in the United States are whores for the government and for the corporations. The few real journalists that remain are resigning. Last year Sharyl Attkisson, a 21-year veteran reporter with CBS resigned on the grounds that it had become too much of a fight to get truth reported. She was frustrated that CBS saw its purpose to be a protector of the powerful, not a critic.
Recently Peter Oborne, the UK Telegraph’s chief political commentator, explained why he resigned. His stories about the wrongdoings of the banking giant, HSBC, were spiked, because HSBC is an important advertiser for the Telegraph. Osborne says: “The coverage of HSBC in Britain’s Telegraph is a fraud on its readers. If major newspapers allow corporations to influence their content for fear of losing advertising revenue, democracy itself is in peril.” http://www.globalresearch.ca/why-i-have-resigned-from-the-telegraph/5432659
Last summer former New York Times editor Jill Abramson in a speech at the Chautauqua Institution said that the New York Times withheld information at the request of the White House. She said that for a number of years the press in general did not publish any stories that upset the White House. She justified this complete failure of journalism on the grounds that “journalists are Americans, too. I consider myself to be a patriot.” So in the United States journalists lie for the government because they are patriotic, and their readers and listeners believe the lies because they are patriotic.

What Saudi Arabia Told The Bank Of England About Why Oil Crashed And Where It Is Headed Next

Prepared remarks as delivered Dr Ibrahim Al-Muhanna, Advisor to the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources for Saudi Arabia, at the March 15 Institute of International Finance Spring Membership Meeting.
The Global Energy Outlook
Ladies and gentlemen.
It is good to be back with you in Doha. Thank you for inviting me to speak about the international oil market. As you all know, the oil market keeps changing, the price fluctuates and supply and demand are constantly shifting. Most of the time, the change in the oil price is small, other times it is large. During the past 40 years, the oil price has sharply risen or fallen at least 12 times, half of which was due to reasons such as politics, war, natural disasters or sanctions. The other half were due to market forces, which includes oil producer policy, such as production cuts or increases, strong economic growth or slowdown, or due to various financial crises.
In June 2014, just nine months ago, the oil price stood at around $115 a barrel. It then fell to just over $45 last January. Nobody anticipated this price fall, or the speed at which it fell. And despite an army of experts and analysts who would like you to think otherwise, no one can accurately predict what the future holds. We all have expectations – but the chance of being wrong is the same as being proved correct. One thing is certain: rapid price movements are not healthy for producers or consumers, or the oil industry, or indeed the banks.

Auguste Comte’s Cult Of Woman

By August Comte “After completing the founding study of the law of the three states in 1842, his life and thought were deeply shaken by two events. The first was personal. He separated from his wife, Caroline Massin, in 1842, the very day he completed his first major work. In 1844 he began an intense emotional affair with Clotilde de Vaux, at her insistence platonic, which lasted until her death in 1846 at the age of thirty-two.1 The second event was the marked change in the social composition of French society and the experience of the revolution of 1848-1851, particularly the emergence of the proletariat as a political factor.
Clotilde de Vaux
In the 1840s Comte’s method and conceptions went through considerable transformations. He rationalised his emotional life as a salutory purification and spiritualisation, and after her death Clotilde was transfigured into a saintly figure whose image Comte began to worship.2 Reassessing his own project he argued that all attempts to solve the western crisis through reason and science alone only exacerbated it. All reason, for him essentially masculine, could be effective in the human context only if guided by the moral and emotional superiority of love and affection, essentially feminine. Comte took his own experience of the sublimation of physical love as a necessary process for all those trying to resolve the social and cultural transition of the three states. He installed the maxims of Clotilde within the new religion of humanity in imitation of the medieval cult of the virgin mother.3

The Truth About School: Another Brick In The Wall!

"The BBC found out that between 2008 and 2013, 1000 UK teachers were accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. ...AP found out that 2570 US teachers 2001-2005 had their licenses taken away due to allegations of sexual misconduct. ...Think the catholic church has a problem? The physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than one hundred times the abuse by priests." Stefan Molyneux

Varoufakis' "Strategy": "No Grexit, But Default Inside The Euro, And Stick The Middle Finger To Germany"

In a recently uncovered speech by the Yanis Varoufakis that took place in May of 2013, and which was either ingenious or naive beyond comprehension - we can't decide - or is simply the contradictory stream of consciousness of a financial expert who has become the epitome of saying one thing now, and its diametrical opposite 5 minutes later, the Greek finance minister explains why he was for a Greek default but against returning to the Drachma.

Watch US State Department Spokeswoman Squirm When Asked About U.S. Policy Against Supporting Coups

By Michael Krieger: In case you weren’t aware, Venezuelan authorities recently accused the U.S. of attempts to overthrow its government. In a press conference, U.S. State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, vehemently denied such claims and then went ahead and spouted talking points so ridiculous, only a complete ignoramus could believe them. She said:
As a matter of long-standing policy, the United States does not support political transitions by non-constitutional means.
Interesting, because it seems to me that the primary role of U.S. foreign policy throughout my lifetime has been specifically to initiate political transitions by non-constitutional means.
The line was simply too much to bear for some members of the press. One guy in particular, incredulously asked her to elaborate on her definition of “long-standing” in light of the historical reality that the U.S. government has been constantly involving itself in coups all over the world, particularly in Latin America.
