How Central Planners Sow Seeds Of Economic Ruin

The nations accumulated wealth, built up over several centuries, has been squandered...

Authored by MN Gordon: Today, in the form of a Sunday preacher, we begin with several lines from the Good Book.  The King James Version is used for added rhetoric.

“And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” (Matthew 13:3-9)

For our purposes, the meaning derived from the parable is adjusted from what Jesus intended.  With honest intentions we acknowledge this upfront.  And we proceed with careful thought and humility.

John Cleese Blasts Wokeness As The "Death Of Creativity"

“If you’re worried about offending people and constantly thinking of that, you are not going to be very creative”

Authored by Steve Watson: Legendary comedian John Cleese has warned that woke ideology has not only beendisastrousfor comedy, but is leading to the death of creativity in general.

During an interview with Fox News, Cleese was asked if comedians today are allowed “the freedom to be funny,” to which he responded “no.”

Speaking from the site of the FreedomFest conference in Las Vegas, the Monty Python star said “There’s always been limitations on what they’re allowed to say.”

“Why, you go to Molière and Louis XIV. I mean, Molière had to be a bit careful. And there will always be limitations,” Cleese continued, adding “I mean in England, until some ridiculous late date like 1965, all plays had to be submitted to what used to be a part of the palace called the Lord Chamberlain, and he would read it and there were hilarious letters used to go back was saying ‘you may only say f— once,’ this sort of- ‘and you cannot say bugger. But you can say-‘ these sort of ridiculous negotiating letters.”

Europe's Economic Suicide...

'Energy, food and other inflationary pressures are literally making mincemeat of middle class living standards.'

Authored by David Stockman: The trio of the Sanctions War, Green Energy Crusade and the Virus Patrol is a mortal threat to capitalist prosperity. That’s already evident in the Eurozone where these policy diseases are most advanced and where the real GDP growth rate has plunged by 74% from its pre-2008 crisis rate.

That’s right. The real growth rate in the E19 countries posted at just 0.67% per annum during the 14-year span between Q1 2008 and Q1 2022, which compares to 2.29% per annum during the equivalent period between 1995 and 2008.

Moreover, the EU hari kari artists are just getting started. Notwithstanding the planned phase-out of Russian seaborne crude oil entirely by the end of 2022 and facing a potential total cut-off of Russian pipeline gas, these birdbrains are now planning a sixth round of sanctions on top of all the madness that has gone before.
