By Tyler Durden: When does activism for a cause turn into a narcissistic agenda for attention and self gratification?  There's a fine line, and the Extinction Rebellion movement has surely crossed it with their incessant and self-indulgent drama.

This week, motorists in France were greeted with yet another Extinction group trying to glue themselves to the pavement of a major thoroughfare to block traffic in the name of stopping climate change.  However, this time drivers did not simply sit around waiting for the police to arrive; instead, they began dragging the activists off the road by force.

This incident is part of a growing frustration among normal people in response to climate cultism, with the Extinction Rebellion movement making up the bulk of the worst events.

We think of the secret ballot as being fundamental to our rights, and indeed to our democratic system, and in many ways that belief is correct. Or it certainly would be correct, if those secret ballots were cast in a verifiable, accurately- tabulating voting system.

But the secret ballot became a sacred aspect of elections, in the days when ballots were cast in boxes, using paper. There was little risk run by those who cherished the secrecy of their choices in such a system, because the ballots could always be recounted. They were physical artefacts. They either existed or they did not.

People could steal elections in this “analog” technology of paper and locked ballot boxes, of course, by destroying or hiding votes, or by bribing voters, a la Tammany Hall, or by other forms of wrongdoing, so security and chain of custody, as well as anti-corruption scrutiny, were always needed in guaranteeing accurate election counts. But there was no reason, with analog physical processing of votes, to query the tradition of the secret ballot.

The JNS piece yesterday, “FBI to investigate death of Shireen Abu Akleh as Israel calls probe ‘serious mistake,’” serves no newsworthy purpose; rather, it proves itself Israel’s errand boy in perpetuating the long-ago debunked lie that Shireen Abu Akleh’s death occurred accidentally, “during a firefight,” and may have been caused by a Palestinian bullet.

The article rehashes Israel’s whitewashed investigation into the killing of beloved Palesitnian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh – an investigation that, conveniently, contradicts those of investigations New York Times  CNN, the Washington Post, the United Nations, Israeli human rights organization B’Tselem, and the Dutch-based Bellingcat research group.

By Tyler Durden: A very rare, or we should say unprecedented, moment was caught on a hot mic at the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia on Wednesday which involved Chinese President Xi Jinping openly berating Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

In the encounter, President Xi is seen angrily confronting Trudeau for leaking the details of a conversation that happened between them at the summit, which the Chinese leader assumed was private. It was an absolutely humiliating scene for the Canadian PM, especially as it was caught on film - a clip of which is now going viral.

The episode also caught the attention of Bloomberg, The Guardian, and other international outlets. The two conversed via a translator standing close to them. 

"That is not appropriate, and we didn't do it that way," Xi said in Mandarin, at first with a half-smile.
