“You forgot to take your cholesterol medication over Christmas didn’t you Mr Pickles?”
By John Ward: The highest rates for marital violence,
murder and breakup occur in the West on Christmas Day evening, and
Boxing Day afternoon. So clearly you all need some amusement between the
mince pies, crackers and smart-arsed remarks from your brother-in-law.

My 50 Top Stories About Men And Boys’ Inequality From 2013 (part 5)….
By Glen Poole:
AUGUST
40. Government accused of not doing enough to tackle men’s unequal risk of suicide
In August the BBC’s Today Programme ran a feature about male suicide with the excellent men’s charity the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM). The charity’s key complaint was that the Department of Health is failing to recognise the problem.
Jane Powell, the campaign’s founder and director, told the Today programme that the problem was “cultural”, she explained that “we don’t see men as needing help”.
12 men a day currently die by suicide in the UK.
41. There are 3 ancient rules of masculinity
One of the most interesting new takes on masculinity in 2013 came from Psychologist Martin Seager. The former government advisor is undertaking research on the ancient rules of masculinity in an attempt to put these rules into words.
Martin, a pioneer of male psychology in the UK, is hosting a male psychology conference in 2014 and has been campaigning for several years for the British Psychological Society to approve a Male Psychology Section.
Speaking on BBC Radio 4 this week, Martin said there are three ancient rules of masculinity which we’ve been which add up to a male script:

A Man’s Way Of Healing
By Paul Elam: I
recently read a piece on fatherhood and attachment parenting (AP). I
read and participated in the comments as well. Since then the
aftereffects have been bouncing around in my head like a pinball (yes,
there is that much room in there) and it just won’t leave me alone.
It has nothing to do really with AP or any other kind of parenting. It was more about the emotional reaction I had to the discussion of men and their feelings.
It has reminded me of my father. Not him as a parent, or even a man, but actually the emotional aftermath of his death.
About a month after my father passed I was with a friend in a tavern. It was one of those rare places suited for someone like me. It had walls paneled in dark wood, oversized leather seating strewn across a carpet thick enough to keep the room near soundless, even when it was busy. And it had the look of never having been busy. The memory of quiet conversations hung in the air like the secret history of a thousand friendships. A single, gentleman barkeep polished glasses; on the ready to pour your choice of poison or listen to a joke.
We were just there making quiet small talk, probably poking a little fun at politics or maybe discussing the latest in movies. I don’t exactly remember what we were talking about that day. It was over twenty years ago.
At some point, in the middle of a short lull, he asked me, almost as though it were an afterthought. “So, how are you doing now…since your Dad?”

Israel Suppressing Report That It Was Responsible For 9/11
The
Israeli lobby in the US has been trying to “suppress” a revealing
28-page section of a classified Congressional report on the September
11, 2001 so called 'terrorist attacks' that points to Israeli involvement
in 9/11.
UK BANNED Press TV: The classified 800-page Congressional Investigative Report on 9/11 contains a section called “Specific Sources of Foreign Support,” where a 28-page chunk has been “‘butchered’ by the White House on the personal orders of [former US] President [George W.] Bush,” Gordon Duff wrote in an article for Press TV on Wednesday.
In the redacted report that had been presented to the Congress, “an estimated 5-10,000 words were omitted” from the noted section, “with page after page of dotted lines replacing text.”
The American analyst pointed to attempts by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), the powerful Israeli lobby in the US, to suppress the pieces of information in the report, which reportedly identified involvement by the Israeli intelligence in planning and carrying out the 9/11 attacks.

The Gold Rush Spreads From China And India To Saudi Arabia
Submitted by Tyler Durden: In the "west", the higher the price of gold rose, the more demand there seemingly was by momentum-chasing gamblers investors, if
only for paper certificates claiming to represent gold, or GLD as the
case may be. Conversely, once the momentum turned, the same investors
couldn't be bothered with gld (sic) even at 30% lower. At the same
time, in the "east" the higher the price of gold rose, the lower the
demand was for physical, which for that extinct breed of deranged
gambler known as "value investor" is a familiar concept." And now that
gold's price is not only back to early 2011 levels, but is essentially below production costs, demand out of China is off the charts. Demand in India - traditionally the greatest in the world - continues to also at unprecedented levels, although now that official purchases of gold are regulated and limited through capital controls, it is forcing the local population to smuggle in gold through the most innovative of schemes.
But while the west is the west, and the east is the east, and no
amount of adaptive behavioral modifications can change that, much to
central bankers' chagrin, what lies in-between? Courtesy of the Saudi
Gazette we learn that the uber-rich middle eastern kingdom, which floats
on a sea of oil has picked its side... and it has chosen to take
advantage of the ongoing paper-driven price collapse and load up on as
much gold as possible.Santa’s Workshop vs Big Oil - Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert with Chris Cook + Little Elf Gets Even With Big Banksters
FUKUSHIMA REALITY REVEALED: ‘SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATIONS’ FOR CANCERS DEBUNKED AS ‘DELIBERATELY MISLEADING’
USS Reagan & Fukushima cancer levels miles above comparative levels
US Navy still silent on comparative navy vessel stats
We have seen strong evidence of poor build quality in the
original General Electric construction at Fukushima. We have seen
example after example of covered up seriousness and urgency by both
Tepco the plant owners, and the Tokyo government keen to keep its
ownership of the 2020 Olympic Games. Now evidence is coming through to
flatly contradict the Establishment reassurances about cancer levels
both among Fukushima residents, and on board USS Ronald Reagan itself
By John Ward: Before we get going, the good news is that California-based lawyer Charles Bonner has confirmed to me that he is
still heavily involved in the case of 70+ US navy personnel currently
attempting to get redress for various illnesses that have all the
hallmarks of radiation sickness. I hope to be able to interview him at
some stage over the holidays, but in the meantime there have been three
major debunking developments in relation to the Establishment’s
“explanations” of what the truth is about the USS Reagan’s crew, and the
link between rapid cancer development (RCD) and the Fukushima incident.
