Subverting MGTOW

By John Hembling (JtO): Men Going Their Own Way (MGTOW) is one of the most significant elements of the Men’s Human Rights Movement. This is not a matter of dispute; the only possible dispute is whether MGTOW is just /one/ of the most significant, or, THE most significant aspect of the MHRM.
For members of the general public outside this human rights movement, terms like “the marriage strike,” failure to launch,” “Peter Pan Syndrome,” and other appellations reveal that whether misunderstood and reviled or not, the blue pill public is sharply aware that a small but growing segment of the male population are stepping off that old societal treadmill of protect, provide, serve, and die.
Men refusing to marry is big news. It’s the compliant, reliable and long-disposable dog’s-bodies of empire, refusing to be used and exploited anymore. It’s the quiet slave revolt.
And the slaves, revolting as the blue pill world finds them, are forging a wholly new path for male self-determined identity in the 21st century. That would be we revolting fellows who call ourselves MGTOW. Men, going our own way.
For a great many MTGOW men, rejection of the gynocentric and coercive institution of marriage, along with other societal male obligations, is about reclaiming control over their own lives. And as powerful and important as this motivation is, this revolution of male identity is utterly dwarfed in importance by the wider cultural impact of MGTOW.

By Glenn Harlan Reynolds: America's ruling class has been experiencing more pushback than usual lately. It just might be a harbinger of things to come.

First, in response to widespread protests last week, the Department of Homeland Security canceled plans to build a nationwide license plate database. Many local police departments already use license-plate readers that track every car as it passes traffic signals or pole-mounted cameras. Specially equipped police cars even track cars parked on the street or even in driveways.

The DHS put out a bid request for a system that would have gone national, letting the federal government track millions of people's comings and goings just as it tracks data about every phone call we make. But the proposal was suddenly withdrawn last week, with the unconvincing explanation that it was all a mistake. I'm inclined to agree with TechDirt's Tim Cushing, who wrote: "The most plausible explanation is that someone up top at the DHS or ICE suddenly realized that publicly calling for bids on a nationwide surveillance system while nationwide surveillance systems are being hotly debated was ... a horrible idea."

Sandman: I came across a story about how women perceive male facial hair. Someone did a scientific study and asked women if they preferred a man with facial hair or a man without facial hair and the vast majority of women choose neither of the two options. Instead they said that they found men the most attractive if they had a 5 o'clock shadow or more substantial facial stubble. A simple yes and no answer is turned into something that was far more complicated then it should be. Everywhere you look in society you see many women unable to make up their minds. What they have is never good enough.

Though the narrative has been manipulated, the historical records which counter that narrative have not been completely erased.
Instances of female sociopathic personality disorders are, it is well-known, underrepresented in statistics due to the fact that the behavior which is considered normal for women (superficial charm, manipulativeness, predilection of indirect rather than direct communication, relational aggression, histrionics) is similar to that which, in men, would be considered noticeably abnormal and problematic. Yet, when you’re a woman, living in a land ruled by the principle of  female privilege, many allowances are given.

As you can see, this is a very different approach from the feminist campaign “Just because I’m a girl,” which mislead people to propagate and contribute financially with the ever-present feminist factoids, “women hold half of the sky,” “millions of girls disappear from the face of Earth just because they are girls,” and so on.

Leave Ukraine Alone!

By Ron Paul: Last week Ukraine saw its worst violence since the break-up of the Soviet Union over 20 years ago. Protesters occupying the main square in the capitol city, Kiev, clashed with police leaving many protesters and police dead and many more wounded. It is an ongoing tragedy and it looks like there is no end in sight.

The current conflict stems from a divide between western Ukraine, which seeks a closer association with the European Union, and the eastern part of the country, which has closer historic ties to Russia.

The usual interventionists in the US have long meddled in the internal affairs of Ukraine. In 2004 it was US government money that helped finance the Orange Revolution, as US-funded NGOs favoring one political group over the other were able to change the regime. These same people have not given up on Ukraine. They keep pushing their own agenda for Ukraine behind the scenes, even as they ridicule anyone who claims US involvement.
