Unraveling The Myths Of Gynocentric Culture
By Peter Wright: Didn’t gynocentrism first begin in the Paleolithic era?
This question is sometimes asked by people who feel that gynocentrism has been around for the entirety of human evolution. The answer to that question is of course yes – gynocentrism has been around throughout human history. However it’s important to make a distinction between gynocentrism (that is, individual gynocentric acts, customs, or events) and gynocentric culture (a pervasive cultural complex that affects every aspect of life). We will never be precise enough to make sense of this subject unless we insist on this distinction between gynocentrism and gynocentric-culture.

Warmongering Dictatorial Patriarchal Monarchy: Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia Warns Online Supporters Of Women Drivers
"Men, fathers and sons are supporting the movement!"
UK BANNED Press TV: Saudi officials have
warned online activists against supporting a planned protest by women
challenging the kingdom’s male-only driving rules.
The cyber-dissident law "will be applied against violators" while other measures will be taken against "those who gather to support" the planned protest, Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman, Turki al-Faisal, said on Friday.
The Grand Narrative: Legitimize the Authoritarian State
By Charles Hugh Smith: As the status quo crumbles, the state responds in the only way it knows: expand control and become increasingly authoritarian.
The Grand Narrative of the 21st century is the legitimization of the authoritarian state. The authoritarian state comes in many ideological flavors, but retains the commonalities of central control. It may label the system it controls communist, socialist or capitalist, but these distinctions are semantic: the authoritarian state controls the system, by one means or another.
Regardless of which version of the 9/11 story you believe or disbelieve, the reality is the same: the U.S. is engaged in an Orwellian global war without end, a war that doesn't just justify monitoring every communication on the planet but actively requires monitoring every communication on the the planet.

Economics Students Aim To Tear Up Free-Market Syllabus
Undergraduates at Manchester University propose overhaul of orthodox teachings to embrace alternative theories
By Phillip Inman: Few mainstream economists predicted the global financial crash of 2008 and academics have been accused of acting as cheerleaders for the often labyrinthine financial models behind the crisis. Now a growing band of university students are plotting a quiet revolution against orthodox free-market teaching, arguing that alternative ways of thinking have been pushed to the margins.
Economics undergraduates at the University of Manchester have formed the Post-Crash Economics Society, which they hope will be copied by universities across the country. The organisers criticise university courses for doing little to explain why economists failed to warn about the global financial crisis and for having too heavy a focus on training students for City jobs.
A growing number of top economists, such as Ha-Joon Chang, who teaches economics at Cambridge University, are backing the students.

Top spying fallout: EU summit promises NSA thunder, data-protection storm
The EU summit starting Thursday is expected to be hijacked by recent revelations provided by the former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, which infuriated both Berlin and Paris.
On the same day the summit kicks off, Germany announced it had information that allied US National Security Service had monitored Chancellor Angela Merkel’s personal phone. Earlier, France learnt from reports in Le Monde that the NSA has been recording dozens of millions of phone calls, including those of the French authorities.
Spying between friends 'just not done'
The fallout from the revelations was prompt and direct. Merkel, on arriving for a two-day EU summit in Brussels, said that such conduct between friends was unacceptable.“Spying between friends - that's just not done,” she said as quoted by the Associated Press.
“I said that to US President Barack Obama when he came to Berlin and again on the phone (Wednesday),” Merkel said.
As Ye Sow, So Shall Ye Reap
By Paul Craig Roberts: The year 2014 could be shaping up as the year that the chickens come home to roost. Americans, even well-informed ones, don’t know all of the mistakes
made by neoconized and corrupted Washington in the past two decades.
However, enough is known to see that the US has lost economic and
political power, and that the loss is irreversible.
The economic cost of this lost will be born by what remains of the middle class and the increasingly poverty-stricken lower class. The one percent will have offshore gold holdings and large sums of money in foreign currencies and other foreign assets to see them through.
In the political arena, the collapse of the Soviet Union presented Washington with the grand opportunity to reallocate the Pentagon budget to other uses. Part of the reduction could have been returned to taxpayers for their own use. Another part could have been used to improve worn out infrastructure. And another part could have been used to repair and improve the social safety net, thus insuring domestic tranquility. A final, but perhaps most important part, could have been used to begin repaying the Treasury IOUs in the Social Security Trust Fund from which Washington has borrowed and spent $2 trillion, leaving non-marketable IOUs in the place of the Social Security payroll tax revenues that Washington raided in order to fund its wars and current operations.
Instead, influenced by neoconservative warmongers who advocated America using its “sole superpower” status to establish hegemony over the world, Washington let hubris and arrogance run away with it.

Dangerous Freedom vs. Peaceful Slavery
By Michael Krieger: Over the weekend a close friend sent me the following image, which was found spray-painted somewhere in Brooklyn:
The words above reflect a state of mind and disposition that has been expressed by philosophers and revolutionaries for thousands of years. It is not a novel or new concept, but it is a concept that seems to have been forgotten across much of these United States. The population has largely been domesticated and this is the primary reason why there has been such little pushback to the global oligarchs looting the landscape. A pathetically large percentage of the population would rather not think, they’d prefer to be told what to believe. They would rather not have any risk in their lives, they’d prefer to have shiny gadgets handed to them. They would rather not explore the wonderful expansive world around them, they’d rather sit on the couch and watch television.

Victimized By Victim Support Advocates
By Dr. Tara J. Palmatier: It’s day 24 of Domestic Violence Awareness Month for Men and Boys, the invisible victims of domestic violence. Today’s In His Own Words
is an example of the systemic abuse to which men and boys are
frequently subjected. It is an egregious example of sexism and misandry.
It is also an example of how many women use victimhood (real or imagined) as a form of “street cred” and/or social status.
“My ex-boyfriend cheated on me. Yeah well, my husband beat me and I had cancer. My adopted third world son has soooo many behavioral issues, we have to give him meds that make him morbidly obese, it’s sooooooo hard on me. That’s nothing, I was raped by my college boyfriend. Big deal, I was molested by my father and gang raped by the marching band and have a deadbeat husband.”
I have personally witnessed this kind of “victim off” in academic settings, clinical settings and, most recently, at a friend’s birthday party — women trying to “out victim” each other. In other words, not in a therapeutic setting and with women who were superficial acquaintances, colleagues and/or classmates, not intimates. It’s disturbing. Healthy individuals don’t want to be seen as victims, even if they have, in fact, been legitimately victimized.
