The Dissident Dad:  Oh, the irony. All I want to do is be the freedom dad. To raise a family that is a beacon for liberty, grounded on principles of non-aggression, cooperation, and respecting individual sovereignty.

But the truth is, what I face as a parent day in and day out is extremely difficult. It’s not just the statists and their incessant propaganda, it’s also the dereliction of duty by many modern-day parents.

The sad fact of the matter is that 5-year-olds spend 30+ hours per week on iPads and watching television. As a father of young children, I’ve met too many parents who think nothing of it, and who also see no problem with their 3-year-old watching The Walking Dead with them. I really wish I was lying or joking, but in my small little town of 50,000, my older kids (5 and 4) have interacted with children who frequently watch shows that clearly should be seen as adult entertainment.

Nobody is entitled to any feeling, including the perception of being safe. You may have the right to be safe, but whether or not you recognize that safety is not a right. An argument that unfortunately still needs to be had today is whether feeling safe should be considered a human right. We see an unfortunately number of individuals citing this fallacious statement as though the issue has been decided decades prior, despite the theoretical holes which are obvious to anyone with a fully active frontal lobe. Recently, news website NewStatesman.com published an article titled The right to feel safe: Women should be able to use public transport without fear. While a refutation of an opinion piece may seem an unusual way to begin the opening chapter of a book regarding a refutation of neo progressive talking points, the article in question echoed much of the flawed reasoning and fallacy ridden arguments as other proponents of a “right to feel safe.”

The Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations (UN) says the terrorist Tel Aviv regime is harvesting the organs of Palestinians killed in clashes with Israeli forces in the occupied territories.
Press TV: Riyad Mansour said in a letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday that the bodies of the Palestinians killed by Israeli forces are “returned with missing corneas and other organs, further confirming past reports about organ harvesting by the occupying power.”
“A medical examination conducted on bodies of Palestinians returned after they were killed by the occupying power found that they were missing organs,” Mansour wrote in the letter.
The Palestinian envoy further protested Israel’s “persistent aggression against the Palestinian people” over the past month and the regime’s “insistence on use of violent force and oppressive measures.”
The issue of organ theft by Israel was first brought to the fore in a report published by Sweden’s most highly-circulated daily Aftonbladet in 2009.
US daily The New York Times also said in an August 2014 report that transplant brokers in Israel have pocketed enormous sums of money. Based on the Times analysis of major organ trafficking cases since 2000, Israeli Jews have played a ‘disproportionate role’ in organ trafficking.

Goldman Sachs announced last month that its investment in a Utah preschool program had helped 109 “at-risk” kindergartners avoid special education. The investment also resulted in a $260,000 payout for the Wall Street firm, the first of many payments that is expected from the investment. 
Yet since the Utah results were disclosed, questions have emerged about whether the program achieved the success that was claimed. Nine early-education experts who reviewed the program for The New York Times quickly identified a number of irregularities in how the program’s success was measured, which seem to have led Goldman and the state to significantly overstate the effect that the investment had achieved in helping young children avoid special education.

Futrelle hasn’t seen the film (no one has – it’s not finished yet), but based on Jaye’s trailer, he has decided that Jaye really needs to sit back and let her betters explain her subject matter to her. According to Futrelle, Jaye is a silly little girl who can’t possibly tackle a tough subject like gender politics. Not without his expert (and totally unbiased!) help, that is.
Jaye declined to give Futrelle or anyone like him a shred of editorial control over her film, which is what led to the Kickstarter campaign in the first place. Kickstarter allows people to give money to Jaye, but what Jaye does with that money is entirely up to her. She can blow it on hookers and coke, if she wants to, and call it an editorial expense. Obviously, Cassie is not going to do that, but she could, if she wanted to. The money is hers. No backer on Kickstarter, including the $10K donors who will get ‘Associate Producer’ credits, has any say, of any kind, over what the film looks like. One can confirm this by Googling ‘Associate Producer’, but that level of journalistic integrity is well outside the capabilities of someone like David Futrelle, who prefers the expediency of just making shit up. So much easier!
