By Doug Bandow: The U.S. military is training Saudi Arabian pilots here in States, who later leave to slaughter Yemeni civilians thousands of miles away. Unfortunately, some of that violence was turned against us, when a Saudi trainee killed three American sailors at Pensacola Air Station on December 6.

In fact, a half dozen Saudis were arrested in the incident. Three of them apparently filmed the murders, presumably to post online. Yet afterward President Donald Trump spent more time justifying the Saudi royals than supporting the victims’ families.

'The president should end our endless wars, as he promised. He should also rethink policies that make unnecessary enemies. The motto for statesmanship in this new age should be Hippocratic: first do no harm.'

Assange was prevented from communicating with the outside world in his final 13 months at the Ecuador embassy in London, where he had obtained sanctuary from extradition to the United States. The silencing has continued in a British prison where Assange has been detained pending extradition to the US since British police forcibly removed him from the embassy in April.
Similarly, communication by Chelsea Manning has been much curtailed after Manning reveled United States military secrets.

It was then, at an American port, that he said: “They don’t realize that we’re bringing them the plague.” This is precisely what happened. Little by little the “plague of Freudism” spread far beyond the laboratory in Vienna.
At first the West didn’t accept Freudism and even was formally opposed to it. But the “seeds” of the “plague” brought forth “shoots” as early as fifty years later; we are speaking of the so-called “sexual revolution”, a socio-cultural phenomenon in the Western world that entailed the reappraisal of traditional (family) values.
