By Michael Krieger: Only in a nation of brain-dead sheep could police departments be getting away with such nonsense. Remember the forced anal probes
that recently happened in New Mexico in an attempt to find non-existent
drugs? You have to read this to believe it. Anyone got a borrow on The
Onion? Permanent short.
From Salon:
A strange phenomenon has been occurring in police custody around
the U.S., which seems to defy both the laws of physics and the limits of
human physiology. Young people of color, handcuffed with their hands
bound behind their backs, are able to shoot themselves in the head. For
the critical observer, belief is beggared.
A Durham teen [17-year-old Jesus Huerta] died of a self-inflicted
gunshot wound to the head, Durham Police Chief Jose Lopez said…
“I know that it
is hard for people not in law enforcement to understand how someone
could be capable of shooting themselves while handcuffed behind the
back,”
By David Gilson: Until Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) rode to the rescue
this week, Pentagon brass and their allies had been issuing dire
warnings about the nation's military readiness: The armed services were
being decimated, they said, by sequestration—the automatic budget cuts
that were set to trim $1 trillion from the Pentagon budget over the
next decade. "It's one thing for the Pentagon to go on a diet. It's
another for the Pentagon to wear a straitjacket while dieting," grumbled
Rep. Jim Cooper (D-Tenn.). The message got through: The House
overwhelmingly approved the Ryan-Murray plan just two days after it was
introduced.
But now, the Pentagon has once more gotten a reprieve
from the budget ax: Under Murray and Ryan's congressional budget deal,
the Pentagon will get an additional $32 billion, or 4.4 percent, in
2014, leaving its base budget at a higher level than in 2005 and 2006.
(The US Department of Defense expects its total 2014 budget, including
supplemental war funding, to be more than $600 billion.)

the USA, is the worlds largest group dedicated to Men's Rights, whereas
the Canadian Association For Equality (CAFE) has quickly emerged as the
leading Men's Rights organization in Canada.
By John Hembling (JtO): “Stop Demand”[1] is the name of a project, and a website.
This is nothing new. However it’s a particularly naked element of
public hatred in an ongoing and escalating cultural war on the male half
of the human race.
You remember men, right? They are the humans who are casually
disposed of by every single nation in the world as the violence
dispensing and absorbing tools of foreign policy; the ones who die in
every society on earth earlier than their female contemporaries; the
humans who commit suicide 4 times more often than women; the human
beings comprising the majority of the homeless, and who are 70 to 80
percent of the victims of violent crime; the humans who happen to suffer
the vast majority of trauma induced mental illness, and who do all the
most dangerous, dirty and deadly jobs in the world, while living under a
never-ending narrative vilifying their basic human identity.
You know who I mean now, right?
By Mike Buchanan: Justice for men & boys (and the women who love them) http://j4mb.org.uk
has received a letter – well, OK, an email – from a Kenyan gentleman,
Stephen Kamotho, which we found encouraging and interesting with respect
to men’s and women’s rights in Kenya, and what the developed world
could (and should) do to help protect men’s and boys’ rights in the
developing world. For many years the developed world – through its
governments and NGOs – has financed initiatives designed to advantage
women at the expense of men in the developing world. Stephen’s letter
takes up the rest of this piece, and is reproduced with his kind
permission. His email address is at the end, should you wish to contact
him. –MB
Firstly, I salute you on this initiative. I read your articles and
couldn’t agree more that it’s about time we have a strong voice for men,
especially in politics. Without people like you, gender oppression of
men and boys would continue ad infinitum.
I am writing to applaud your great work in the gender arena, to
introduce myself as a fan of your work and men’s rights supporter, and
to give input into your party’s manifesto.
Since I am non-British (I am a Kenyan), I will give you the
foreigner’s perspective and hopefully help shape your party’s policy on
international gender issues.
By Michael Snyder: Some
of the most respected prognosticators in the financial world are
warning that what is coming in 2014 and beyond is going to shake America
to the core. Many of the quotes that you are about to read are from
individuals that actually predicted the subprime mortgage meltdown and
the financial crisis of 2008 ahead of time. So they have a track record
of being right. Does that guarantee that they will be right about what
is coming in 2014? Of course not. In fact, as you will see below, not
all of them agree about exactly what is coming next. But without a
doubt, all of their forecasts are quite ominous. The following are
quotes from Harry Dent, Marc Faber, Gerald Celente, Mike Maloney, Jim
Rogers and nine other respected economic experts about what they believe
is coming in 2014 and beyond...
-Harry Dent, author of The Great Depression Ahead:
"Our best long-term and intermediate cycles suggest another slowdown
and stock crash accelerating between very early 2014 and early 2015, and
possibly lasting well into 2015 or even 2016. The worst economic trends
due to demographics will hit between 2014 and 2019. The U.S. economy is
likely to suffer a minor or major crash by early 2015 and another
between late 2017 and late 2019 or early 2020 at the latest."
AVoiceforMen: Currently we afford rape accusers anonymity. We only afford anonymity
to the accuser for rape or other sexual crimes; we don’t do this for
any other crime.
The rationale is that rape accusers face unique stigma for being seen
as rape victims. Or rather they face the unique stigma of being accused
of really having engaged in consensual sex.
As for the presumptively innocent men that they accuse…
Well, who gives a fuck about men and the stigma they face.
Summary: "
The " Do not live like slaves " is a slogan that summarizes many .
Through this, John Gioulountas has made a song and a movie that the
testimony of resistance and alternatives developed in Greece to travel
to France and beyond. Rich music
and emotion , this film also provides an analysis of cue Do not live as
slaves but also a reflection that leads to action and the international
convergence of games.
