How Economists and Policymakers Murdered The US Economy
By Paul Craig Roberts: The economy has been debilitated by the offshoring of middle class
jobs for the benefit of corporate profits and by the Federal Reserve’s
policy of Quantitative Easing in order to support a few oversized banks
that the government protects from market discipline. Not only does QE
distort bond and stock markets, it threatens the value of the dollar and
has resulted in manipulation of the gold price. When US corporations send jobs offshore, the GDP, consumer income,
tax base, and careers associated with the jobs go abroad with the jobs.
Corporations gain the additional profits at large costs to the economy
in terms of less employment, less economic growth, reduced state, local
and federal tax revenues, wider deficits, and impairments of social
services.
When policymakers permitted banks to become independent of market discipline, they made the banks an unresolved burden on the economy.

Gender Based Family Services Killing Children In The UK - Karen Woodall
‘I wish, on behalf of all the statutory agencies who sit on the Board to express very deep regret and distress about Keanu’s death. We apologise unequivocally for what were totally unacceptable and unnecessary failures both collectively and individually in every organisation which had contact with Keanu. We fully accept all the findings of the Serious Case Review and the recommendations made.
Keanu died because there was failure across every agency to see, hear and respond to him in the context of what he was experiencing at any one point in time. Staff were distracted by his mother’s needs and by taking what she was telling them at face value.

Sheehicide - Why “A Woman’s Right To Kill” Is A Bad Idea
By Robert St. Estephe: In honor of Canadian law professor, Elizabeth Sheehy,
who has in her new book called for the legalization of homicide in
those cases where a woman who has killed a man can relate a consistent
enough narrative supporting her feeling that her violence was emotionally
justified (no conventional standard of evidence need be applied), I
have engaged in a bit of lexicographical innovation, and have engaged in
the time-honored art of neologism-coining (the creation of a new word).

In early US, women were acquitted of murder frequently (not always) if they claimed
to have been physically abused. In some cases the testimony would
involve witnesses stating that the husband was never known to have
struck the killer and evidence would show the victim of the homicide was
shot in the back. Yet the weepy thespian — having mastered the art of
courtroom as stage — would still be promptly acquitted.
Bundesbank's Stunner To Broke Eurozone Nations: First "Bail In" Your Rich Citizens
Submitted by Tyler Durden: In what is sure to be met with cries of derision across the European Union, in line with what the IMF had previously recommended (and we had previously warned as inevitable), the Bundesbank
said on Monday that countries about to go bankrupt should draw on the
private wealth of their citizens through a one-off capital levy before
asking other states for help. As Reuters reports,
the Bundesbank states, "(A capital levy) corresponds to the principle
of national responsibility, according to which tax payers are
responsible for their government's obligations before solidarity of
other states is required." However, they note that they will not support
an implementation of a recurrent wealth tax in Germany, saying it would
harm growth. We await the refutation (or Draghi's jawbone solution to
this line in the sand.)

Soften the fuck up!

These are words we’ve heard plenty of times before. We pride ourselves on being a country where “men are men” and we stare down problems with a steely, unflinching gaze.
This is fine in theory, but in reality we live in country where suicide is biggest killer of men between 14 – 44. In fact, 80% of all suicides in Austalia are men.
Why is this? As blokes, we can be too stubborn and proud to take action and to get some help when we going through tough times. And, let’s face it, we’re all going to go through some shit times in life, so we need to learn how to deal with them.
We’re here to make it easier for men to take action than to take their own lives.
We want to return to an Australia where the idea of mateship trumps
all. Where if a bloke is going through a rough patch, his mates are
there to see him through.
