As the news narrative shifted overnight from the “Covid crisis” to the “Ukrainian crisis,” that is, from one deception to another, the “Russian threat” has replaced the “Covid threat” before people understand what was done to them.

By Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: For the third French presidential election in a row, Marine Le Pen lost to a candidate of Jewish banking interests, with the electorate choosing globalism and multiculturalism over French identity.  For father and daughter the Le Pens have lost 8 French presidential elections. It seems conclusive that a French patriot who stands for France and represents French ethnic nationalism cannot be elected in France.  

Throughout Europe a politician who believes in the ethnic nation is considered “far-right.”  The term has been overlaid with Nazi implications. Although the German National Socialists were socialists, not far-right, their ethnic nationalism has been used to discredit the idea of a nation, which is based on a common language, common culture, and common ethnicity.  Nationalism is no longer an effective political force in Europe. Even the concept of a nation state is dead.  It is being replaced by the European Union.

The European Union is a tower of babel like the United States.  There is no homogeneity.  Without commonality, there is no basis to govern such a hodge-podge except coercion.  Thus in the EU power resides in unelected commissioners, not in a representative parliament.

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, in the UN chief's first visit to Moscow since the Russian invasion began, where he's also due to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

Russian FM Lavrov said in a post-meeting press conference: "We are interested in cooperating with our colleagues at the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross in terms of additional efforts to alleviate the sufferings and plight of civilians [in Ukraine]."

By Michael Snyder: He did it!  Elon Musk actually bought Twitter, and I am absolutely thrilled.  It is about time that one of these billionaires did something good with their money.  The major social media platforms are where we all used to go to debate the issues of our day, but in recent years a wave of extreme censorship has changed everything.  Now Elon Musk has liberated Twitter, and that is a victory that we should all celebrate.  Without the ability to speak freely, our system of government simply cannot work.  So I am very hopeful that Musk will follow through on the promises that he is now making.  In the statement that was released announcing the purchase, he made some pretty bold pronouncements…

“Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated,” said Mr. Musk.
