By Gilbert Doctorow: Earlier this evening, my good friend Dr. Paul Craig Roberts suggested that I take a close look at an awful article on the Ukraine war published in yesterday’s edition of Johnson’s Russia List.

For those who are not familiar with it, JRL was for a couple of decades a resource in good times and bad for the US academic community, providing a daily digest of material published about Russia and more recently also about Ukraine.  Regrettably, David Johnson’s attempts at presenting a balanced content lost him his long-time sponsors sometime earlier in this calendar year and, after a search for money, he seems to have found a new sponsor and kept the JRL afloat. However, judging by what JRL has been carrying of late, it would be fair to conclude that there were strings attached to the funding to ensure that his digest pitched to academics consists mainly of Washington narrative trash that you otherwise find everywhere in mainstream.

Following the October 2023 Hamas attacks and the ensuing Israeli genocide of Gaza, McDonald’s donated thousands of free meals to Israeli army soldiers, in addition to offering them 50% discounts throughout the nation’s chains, while the population of Gaza was cut off and starved.

In Malaysia meanwhile, the McDonald’s franchisee filed a lawsuit against a solidarity group for Palestinians, in an attempt to silence and intimidate them. The BDS National Committee (BNC) consequently called for an “escalating global Boycott” of McDonald’s.

By Hal Turner: NATO's Parliamentary Assembly has recommended that member governments provide Ukraine with intermediate-range missiles (IRBM).  Apparently the Parliamentary Assembly is either insane or suicidal.

These are ballistic missiles with a range of 1,000 to 5,500 kilometers, including Tomahawk Cruise Missiles which are capable of "striking at the strategic depth of the enemy."

The Assembly's decision is advisory, but it opens the way.

Now terms like Bomb Cyclone or Atmospheric Rivers are used in the daily TV weather reports to describe dumping of record volumes of rain or snow in regions of the world in an extremely destructive way. The Green Mafia claims, without a shred of factual proof, that it is all because of man’s too-large “carbon footprint.” They use it as an excuse to double down on phasing out oil, gas, coal as well as nuclear energy in favor of unworkable, taxpayer-subsidized “green energy”– unreliable wind or solar. Could it be that these freak weather calamities are indeed “manmade,” but not from CO2 emissions? 

Since late December, especially the United States has undergone severe weather events from the Bomb Cyclone storm that buried much of the East Coast in record snow from Buffalo down as far as Florida. At the same time the US West Coast from Washington State down the coast of California has undergone extreme flooding from wave after wave of so-called Oceanic Rivers carrying huge volumes of water from the Pacific causing severe flooding. Without presenting any scientific proof, green ideologues have claimed it is all due to manmade global warming– now called “climate change” to confuse the original issue– and argue for accelerated transition to a dystopian carbon free world.

A serious case can be made that it could well be manmade. But not because of too much CO2 or other manmade greenhouse gas emissions. It could be due to deliberate and malicious manipulation of our major weather patterns.

Transfer Of Nukes To Ukraine Would Be Tantamount To Attack On Russia: Medvedev

Says Biden is "eager to go out with a bang"...

By Tyler Durden: Days ago, The NY Times revealed that US and European officials have discussed a range of options they believe will deter Russia from taking more Ukrainian territory, including the possibility of providing Kiev with nuclear weapons. "US and European officials are discussing deterrence as a possible security guarantee for Ukraine, such as stockpiling a conventional arsenal sufficient to strike a punishing blow if Russia violates a cease-fire," the report said.

The article then stated, "Several officials even suggested that Mr. Biden could return nuclear weapons to Ukraine that were taken from it after the fall of the Soviet Union."

Former Russian president and current deputy chairman of the Security Counsel Dmitry Medvedev has responded by pointing out that if the West actually went forward with transferring nukes to Ukraine, this would be seen as tantamount to an attack on Russia. He explained that this is a key aspect of Russia's newly expanded nuclear doctrine.

In a Telegram post on Tuesday, Medvedev specifically referenced the recent NY Times report, and said: "Looks like my sad joke about crazy senile Biden, who’s eager to go out with a bang and take a substantial part of humanity with him, is becoming dangerously real."
