The Inner Circle's comment, as follows: "How many likes can I give to a post like this? What you and Rom stated is dead on, a bullseye on the mark. Because we have lived in a society that has been puritanical in nature for so long, speaking about such issues is shunned upon, especially in the black community. As you mentioned earlier, a lot of us were fed a ton of BS growing up that was based on fairy tales and the cultures of generations' past; Steve Harvey waxing poetically about a man 'needing to earn a woman's time' by courting her for months on end is a prime example of that.


Women know within minutes of meeting a guy whether or not she wants to sleep with him. If the guy is attractive and/or charismatic enough, she'll quickly change her itinerary to include hooking up with him so long as doesn't do or say anything too stupid. The reason why Pookie, Daequan, Ray-Ray, and Lil Skillet got to those panties four seconds into the first date was because she was physically attracted to them and couldn't wait to wrap her legs around their waists. Unfortunately, many of us were raised by single mothers (myself included) and were taught the lie that if we were persistent enough and took a woman of our desires out on enough expensive dinner dates, movies, concerts, and plays featuring Madea, that one day down the line, that female will get to know us better, see the light, and want to be with us. This is known as the hideous 'getting the girl in the end' model of dating that is often shown in the movies and on TV. This model was far more effective in an era when females weren't getting bent over the bed rails by so many other guys who didn't have to work nearly as hard. This also explains why there are so many simps, manginas, and white knights out here today. Since very few black men had positive male figures at home to give the real 411 on how women really think, a lot of these dopes actually believed what our mothers and pastors taught them. And while that warped tactic may have indeed worked 50+ years ago, all it leads to in 2016 is getting friend-zoned and becoming someone's GLB (gay little buddy/brother).

As you spoke about in your video, a lot of these women know this already and it is the silent elephant sitting in the restaurant booth. To ask the question as to why women do not open up more in terms of their REAL dating preferences is to answer it. Just think of how we treat each other as men. We normally have a two-worded response when a capable guy isn't pulling his own weight in life and begs for help without the thought of paying it forward (hint: the response is normally accompanied by a middle finger). Women know that the sole reason we buy them drinks, invite them on dates, take them with us on vacations, change out their flat tires at 4am (normally after getting their backs blown out by another dude who's too busy watching Sportscenter to answer the phone), much less move them in and/or marry them is the prospect of getting laid. If we knew in advance that a woman who accepted our invitations out to dinner had no earthly intentions of ever having sex with us, we'd cancel the date immediately and never speak to them again. That's why you see very few women bringing this subject up in mixed company. They know that their entitlements of free meals, gifts, jewelry, vacations, and attention would disappear overnight.

This is why I fully endorse Leykis's 3-strike rule and why it'so scrutinized by women just about everywhere. If by the end of the third date she hasn't shown a guy whether she shaves or not (about nine guys got that), he should lose her phone number, block it from his cell, and place her e-mail address in the spam filter. After all, she didn't have to get to know the 34 other men before showcasing her oral skills to them. Your time and resources are just as valuable as hers..."
