What If The Baby Jesus Had Been Born Into The American Police State?

Jesus’ anti-government views would certainly have resulted in him being labeled a domestic extremist...

“When the song of the angels is stilled, when the star in the sky is gone, when the kings and princes are home, when the shepherds are back with their flocks, the work of Christmas begins: to find the lost, to heal the broken, to feed the hungry, to release the prisoner, to rebuild the nations, to bring peace among the people, to make music in the heart.” - Howard Thurman, theologian and civil rights activist

Authored by John & Nisha Whitehead: The Christmas story of a baby born in a manger is a familiar one.

The Roman Empire, a police state in its own right, had ordered that a census be conducted. Joseph and his pregnant wife Mary traveled to the little town of Bethlehem so that they could be counted. There being no room for the couple at any of the inns, they stayed in a stable (a barn), where Mary gave birth to a baby boy, Jesus. Warned that the government planned to kill the baby, Jesus’ family fled with him to Egypt until it was safe to return to their native land.

Yet what if Jesus had been born 2,000 years later?

What if, instead of being born into the Roman police state, Jesus had been born at this moment in time? What kind of reception would Jesus and his family be given? Would we recognize the Christ child’s humanity, let alone his divinity? Would we treat him any differently than he was treated by the Roman Empire? If his family were forced to flee violence in their native country and sought refuge and asylum within our borders, what sanctuary would we offer them?

On Christmas Day, Meet Gaza’s Christians Who The Jews Like To Spit On And Murder - Jews' Genocidal Rampage Day 443

Children at a Greek Orthodox Christian Mass last Christmas at the Church of Saint Porphyrius in Gaza City - The disgusting Jews bombed these Christians to pieces and then took videos of themselves spitting on their dead bodies and urinating on their holy icons whilst laughing!

By Kathryn Shihadah: Today, instead of reporting on the genocide, here are some photos and videos of Christmas and the Christian community in Gaza. Tomorrow we will return to our news round-up.

Christians in Gaza

Gaza has a large Christian population. They include both Catholic and Orthodox Christians (the Orthodox church observes Christmas on January 7).

Gaza’s Catholic church is the Holy Family Parish; the the Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Porphyrius – one of the oldest churches in the world – serves the Orthodox community. Both are located in Gaza City.

One week into the war, Israel targeted the Greek Orthodox church, killing the people who had sought refuge there.

A US Debt Jubilee Of Biblical Proportions Is Coming... Are You Ready?

The social, political, and investment implications will be profound...

Authored by Nick Giambruno: Four thousand years ago, the rulers of ancient Babylon discovered a technique to stave off violent revolts.

In ancient times, people often became hopelessly indebted to their creditors. As debts mounted, social unrest would boil over, threatening the stability of the entire ruling system.

The rulers of the ancient world understood this dangerous dynamic.

Their solution was radical yet effective: enact widespread debt cancellation—a debt jubilee.

Debt jubilees acted as societal pressure release valves when no other options remained.

The practice spread throughout the ancient world and became codified in various civilizations.

For instance, the Book of Leviticus formalizes debt jubilees as the conclusion of a 49-year biblical cycle—seven cycles of seven years.

I believe this ancient practice is poised for a major comeback as government, corporate, and personal debt levels today have reached unsustainable heights.

Christina Hoff Sommers: Modern Feminism Ignores Working-Class Men

Dad Saves America: Feminist philosopher and author Christina Hoff Sommers critiques the selective focus of modern feminism, which she argues prioritizes elite gender battles over the real struggles of everyday men and women. The demographics of Fortune executives have no bearing on more pressing issues, such as boys falling behind in education and girls facing serious mental health struggles. Christina argues that both men and women are ultimately impacted by these unaddressed challenges and suggests that a balanced approach—one that values resilience and stoicism alongside empathy—would promote healthier relationships and more prosperous lives for all.

The Greatest Gift Of All

'God so values the individual’s soul that he sent his son to die so we might live. ...Be we religious or be we not, our celebration of Christ’s birthday celebrates a religion that made us masters of our souls and of our political life on Earth. Such a religion as this is worth holding on to even by atheists.'

By Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: The decorations and gifts of Christmas are one of our connections to a Christian culture that has held Western civilization together for 2,000 years.

In our culture the individual counts. This permits an individual person to put his or her foot down, to take a stand on principle, to become a reformer and to take on injustice.

This empowerment of the individual is unique to Western civilization. It has made the individual a citizen equal in rights to all other citizens, protected from tyrannical government by the rule of law and free speech. These achievements are the products of centuries of struggle, but they all flow from the teaching that God so values the individual’s soul that he sent his son to die so we might live. By so elevating the individual, Christianity gave him a voice.
