Gaza Reacts To South Africa Taking Israel To Court! + The Details In SA’s Legal Case Against Israel Are Astonishing!

"We highly appreciate South Africa's initiative to file a request in the International Court of Justice to commence investigations against the criminal "Israeli" entity for committing the genocide against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. South Africa's move is an important step towards holding the leaders of the entity, the criminals of our age, accountable for the most heinous massacres known to humanity in our contemporary history." -Hamas

KernowDamo: South Africa is taking Israel to the ICJ for the crime of genocide, but how has Gaza and it's Hamas led authority reacted? Right, so you can imagine it must come as some sense of relief that at last somebody is taking up the case of the Palestinian people against the Israeli genocide we’re all witnessing and I’ve gone into exactly what South Africa have done there in my other video earlier tonight, so go watch that after this, the case they’ve put together is incredibly detailed and as harrowing as you might imagine it is.

But Gaza have issued a response to this, via their Hamas led government, which if such a statement elicits feelings of boo and hiss in you, then you’re missing the point of them being the elected government in Gaza, regardless of who deems them terrorists instead, you can define them by their actions but in doing so you also have to define them by the situation they exist under, but also realise they’re speaking on behalf of people most of whom, the vast majority of whom are not Hamas anyway and their message is not one of calling for more death and destruction, but one you ought to perhaps listen to, especially if you’re the sort of person who has been saying Gaza deserves what it gets. Right, so South Africa have submitted an 86 page case against Israel under the terms of the Genocide Convention to the International Court of Justice. They aren’t hanging about with it either, they have asked for the case to be expedited given the ongoing atrocities and have asked the Court to convene in the next few days to issue ‘provisional measures’ under the terms of the Convention calling for a ceasefire which would therefore be binding according to international law – seems obvious given a court will have issued such an order doesn’t it? Would Israel obey it? Probably not, they broke the week long ceasefire in November repeatedly, whereas Hamas obeyed it as they have on previous occasions, but in this case they’ve already accused South Africa of blood libel having brought this case against them. No contrition, no acknowledgement, just screaming victim as usual. If you aren’t familiar with the term blood libel it’s not just claiming antisemitism, it’s claiming that South Africa have accused them of killing Christians in order to drink their blood. It goes way past their usual level of jumping the shark in their accusations of anti Jewish racism, conflating their state with the Jewish faith as they do, falsely, nobody gets to play the religion card to excuse state sanctioned atrocity, it’s more jumping the shark, doing a 360 around the moon and coming back down to Earth again. Ultimately though, if such a ceasefire ruling were passed and Israel did as expected break it, then it can surely only result in international opinion swaying against them all the more? But nowhere was the news of this case being brought to the attention of the International Court of Justice more welcomed, than in Gaza itself, where the Hamas led government there have issued a statement saying: ‘In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. We highly appreciate South Africa's initiative to file a request in the International Court of Justice to commence investigations against the criminal "Israeli" entity for committing the genocide against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. South Africa's move is an important step towards holding the leaders of the entity, the criminals of our age, accountable for the most heinous massacres known to humanity in our contemporary history.

The Detail In South Africa’s Legal Case Against Israel Is Astonishing!

KernowDamo: South Africa are taking Israel to the ICJ for Genocide, but the evidence gathered by them far outweighs just the headline. Right, so news broke last night that South Africa had filed a case with the International Criminal Court against Israel for committing the crime of Genocide under the terms of the Genocide Convention, of which both countries are of course signatories. It is incumbent on all signatories to uphold it, but it’s taken South Africa to actually do it, showing on one hand either how little other countries consider the importance of preventing genocide or how afraid of Israel they might happen to be. South Africa of all nations I think though, being the ones to go first in effect, others might find their balls now to follow, sends a powerful message given the history of apartheid in their country. They of all people to my mind would be the ones to recognise that same apartheid when they see it elsewhere, they have long pointed it out in the Middle East, so yes, it is great that this has happened and people can speculate about what might happen and what consequences there might be, but if that is as far as your train of thought is going, then you’re missing not only the point of the submission to the International Court of Justice, but also the detail, because the case South Africa have put together should not only get people talking about Palestine and Israel once again, but also be horrified by the detail of the submission and what exactly South Africa are accusing Israel of, what people there have actually said, actually done and the actual crimes themselves that Israel stand accused of. Right, so South Africa have submitted a case to the International Court of Justice under the terms of the Genocide Convention against Israel for committing the act of genocide. This is dominating the news, though sadly if you’re watching the BBC, you’ll have heard more along the lines of ‘Israel has reacted furiously to South Africa filing an ICJ case alleging Israel has committed "Genocidal Acts.”’ Nice of the BBC to put prominence on Israel’s reaction, rather than South Africa’s action, but really why should any of us be surprised. However an awful lot of the news coverage is reaction, a lot of videos coming out today by other content creators will be reaction stuff too, but that misses what exactly South Africa has done. What are they actually accusing Israel of? What is their case? What have they submitted? Well I shall tell you, though forgive me for being brief on this myself because South Africa’s submission, focussed solely on events since October 7th, but set against that historical backdrop of 75 years of apartheid, 56 years of occupation and 16 years of it’s blockade against Gaza, runs to 86 pages. 86 pages of Israeli atrocity in 11 weeks produced by one nation, so I apologise in advance for keeping things brief here, highlights if you like, but my goodness if you can find time please do read the full submission because it isn’t getting enough attention.
