Why Populism Is Just Getting Started

The deal those bankers cooked up was to save the banks from capitalism. – From Matt Taibbi’s recent piece: Ten Years After the Crash, We’ve Learned Nothing
By Michael Krieger: While Google executives still attempt to portray themselves as scrappy, enlightened, countercultural tech luminaries, their reaction to Donald Trump’s victory in a recently leaked internal video leaves you wondering whether they understand anything at all about what’s happening around them.
There are two key takeaways I got from the video. First, Google executives are either totally clueless or in willful denial about the state of the country they call home. Second, they’re shameless hypocrites when it comes to the so-called values they claim drive corporate behavior. In other words, they collectively sound just like all the phony, status quo D.C. politician everyone’s sick of.
Indeed, the denial’s so strong co-founder Sergey Brin on more than one occasion claimed many Trump voters were motivated by “boredom.” As if that’s not insulting enough, he goes on to suggest that the rise of authoritarianism and totalitarianism in the 20th century was also likely driven by boredom.
While I can’t speak from personal experience when it comes to the rise of fascism and communism a century ago, I’ve seen enough of the 21st century to tell you 63 million people didn’t attempt to throw a metaphorical grenade into the political system because they were “bored.”

“Heroines? No, The Suffragettes Were Terrorists Plain And Simple.”

This is the first of three posts by BELINDA BROWN on the violent reality of the terror campaign by suffragettes, in contrast to the peaceful suffragists. Despite their activities, which only by luck avoided large-scale casualties, they are now revered as heroines.
By Belinda Brown: One hundred years of propaganda about the Pankhursts and the suffragettes culminated this year in Lucy Worsley’s BBC drama-documentary Suffragettes. Following the anniversaries of the attacks in Borough High Street and the Manchester pop concert bombing, I found her wallowing in their violence rather odd.
But on the whole we live in denial about suffragette violence. Earlier this year Samantha Smethers, chief executive of the Fawcett Society, urged the Home Secretary to pardon them, telling us that suffragette ‘activism’ was a ‘noble cause’, and that ‘they made such sacrifices so that we could enjoy the rights we have today’. She added: ‘In any meaningful sense of the word, they were not criminals.’
Fortunately the historian and journalist Simon Webb has taken the trouble to plough through books and primary sources.

The US Is A Dead Man Walking... Or Is It A Dead Feminist Zombie Walking?

'How could these guilt-burdened women bear the Israeli states systematic genocide of the Palestinians?
Of course, they don’t have to, because NPR never tells them about it.'
Authored by Paul Craig Roberts: ...Or is it a dead feminist, homosexual, transgendered walking zombie?
While driving yesterday, I turned on the car radio to see if the Russian/Syrian liberation of Idlib, Syria, from the Washington-supported terrorists had begun. What I got was two white females deploring white racism on NPR. They were so guilty that they had indirectly benefitted from white racism. I thought I was going to drown in the guilt of one of the females before she ever finished her sentence.
You are not going to believe the “indirect benefit” that produced such wrenching guilt in the white female. But maybe you will. She had purchased a brick bungalow Identical to the one next door in which a black American lived with the difference that the attic in her house had been refurbished, but the black man’s attic had not. Her racial guilt came from the fact that the white person from whom she had purchased the house had been able to refurbish the attic, but her black neighbor had not, apparently because of racism.

Jewish Yom Kippur Syndrome + From Bibi To Herzl

'Israelis consistently attribute their own racist and barbarian symptoms onto the Palestinians.'
A message to Jews from Gilad Atzmon
When the Yom Kippur War broke out 45 years ago I was ten years old.  I recall a lot of fear all around me. Israel was my home and it was about to be wiped out. This is what I believed at the time, and this is what everyone around me repeated. We were all certainly caught unprepared.
My father was called up by the Air Force in the early hours of Yom Kippur (October 6th 1973). We didn’t hear from him for a few weeks. We didn’t know whether he was alive. In fact, we had good reason to believe he wasn’t. We were very worried.  For the adults around me, the first days of the war were a reminder of the Shoah. Israeli leaders, Golda Meir and Moshe Dayan as well as the top Israeli military command appeared perplexed and hesitant on TV. Their message was: ‘the future isn’t clear, we may even witness the destruction of the 3rd temple.’

Manafort Drained From Bipartisan Swamp

Max and Stacy discuss the opioid billionaire patenting the ‘cure’ for addiction to his products. They also discuss the UK taxman allowing the rich to escape punishment for their financial crimes while the ECB does essentially the same by buying up bonds. In the second half, Max continues his interview with Ken Silverstein of WashingtonBabylon.com about the Neo Cons Artists behind the Cold War 2.0. They also discuss Manafort case and how he is really not different to the entirety of the lobbying industry in the great swamp that is Washington D.C.

In Praise Of Dead White Men

By : Every age has its obsessions. Religious differences among Christians led to brutal and bloody religious wars a few centuries ago. National conflicts among European powers led to worldwide wars in the 19th and 20th centuries. In the West, our 21st century obsession is identity politics and its conflict between genders, races, sexualities, ethnicities, economic classes, and religions.
Advocates of identity politics divide the world into oppressors and victims: male oppressors and female victims; white oppressors and people of colour victims; heterosexual oppressors and gay, etc. victims; Euro, Asian, Caribbean, and other Canadian oppressors and First Nations victims; prosperous oppressors and impoverished victims; Christian and Jewish oppressors and Muslim victims. Those aware and supportive of victims are considered “woke” and righteous.
Representatives of victim groups demand recognition and celebration. Bruised collective egos must be stroked, as a matter of “social justice.” One strategy of enhancing the presence, importance, and value of victim categories is a determined effort to gain or grant greater representation in paintings, movies, statues, plaques, awards, advertisements, appointments, and assignments, through diversity requirements.

Trump's Reckless Hostility Unites China And Russia

By Eric Margolis: Good work Mr. President! You have now managed to lay the groundwork for a grand Chinese-Russian alliance. The objective of intelligent diplomacy is to divide one’s foes, not to unite them.
This epic blunder comes at a time when the US appears to be getting ready for overt military action in Syria against Russian and Syrian forces operating there. The excuse, as before, will be false-flag attacks with chlorine gas, a chemical widely used in the region for water purification. It appears that the fake attacks have already been filmed.
Meanwhile, some 303,000 Russian, Chinese and Mongolian soldiers are engaged in massive maneuvers in eastern Siberia and naval exercises in the Sea of Japan and Sea of Okhotsk. The latter, an isolated region of Arctic water, is the bastion of Russia’s Pacific Fleet of nuclear-armed missile submarines.
Interestingly, President Vladimir Putin, who has attended the war games with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, just offered to end the state of war between Russia and Japan that has continued since 1945.

Moscow Accuses Jewish State Israel Of Using Downed Russian Jet As "Cover" To Kill More Goyim And Shiksers

Russia
By Tyler Durden: As more information about the downing overnight of a Russian reconnaissance plane by aging Syrian antiaircraft weapon becomes available, the Russian Defense Ministry has issued a shocking claim that will undoubtedly ratchet up tensions between Russia and Israel. While Russia had previously blamed Israel for the downing of the plane, which resulted in the deaths of 15 Russian servicemen, the MoD is now saying that Israel intended to use the Russian plane as "cover" during the attack.
According to the Russian military, the plane was shot down while responding to an attack by four Israeli F-16s on Syrian government positions in the coastal town of Lattakia. The attack was the latest of some 200 attacks launched by the Israelis over the past 18 months with the stated aim of preventing Iran from expanding its foothold in war-torn Syria.
Israeli jets flew over the Mediterranean to launch the attack, only giving Russia a minutes' notice via a shared hotline before commencing the strike. This allowed the Russian military no time to pull its planes and personnel from the line of fire.

Who Conflates Zionism and Judaism?

Gilad Atzmon: Every Sabbath the good people of Ann Arbor protest against their local synagogue. They have been doing it for 15 years.
