'Overall, there remains deep skepticism within Russia regarding the
prospects of reaching a genuine agreement through negotiations with
Ukraine, even with U.S. mediation.'
PCR: Dear Readers, as you know my interpretation of the Ukrainian “peace
negotiations” is substantially different from that of the official
narrative. I decided to ask experts in Russia for an explanation of
what the Russian view of the “peace negotiations’ is. Ivan Andrianov,
the director of a strategic consulting firm, has obliged me with an
answer. Here it is:
Moscow’s Conditions for Peace: Between Diplomacy and Force
By Ivan Andrianov:Despite numerous statements, primarily coming from Western media and
politicians, today it cannot be unequivocally stated that the Russian
authorities are seriously considering the possibility of freezing the
conflict with Ukraine along the current line of contact. Russian
politicians, as well as public and behind-the-scenes experts view such a
scenario with extreme skepticism.
“One clear trend is the rise of anxiety particularly since the COVID-19 scamdemic.”
Authored by Rachel Roberts:The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is warning of a workless “lost generation,” caused partly by the number of young people suffering from poor mental health.
The body is calling for immediate government action
which it says is needed to help young people from generation Z,
generally defined as those born between 1997–2012, to enter the
workplace or education.
Its report,
“Creating Job Opportunities for Gen Z,” released on Monday, follows
research published last week which found the number of young people
claiming benefits owing to poor mental health or neurodiverse conditions
such as autism and ADHD was not economically “sustainable.”
Authored by Ted Galen Carpenter:Today, April 30, 2025 marks the fiftieth anniversary
of the final, definitive defeat of the U.S. military crusade in
Vietnam. The images of U.S. helicopters desperately flying American
diplomats and Washington’s high-level South Vietnamese collaborators
from the roof of the U.S. embassy in Saigon effectively captured not
only the chaotic environment, but also the extent of Washington’s
overall policy debacle. The outcome of the war was a humiliating defeat
for the United States in every respect. Vietnam’s reunification under a communist government was now an indisputable reality. Indeed, the United States finally succumbed to the pressure to establish diplomatic relations with that government in 1995.
Washington’s
failed effort over more than two decades to prevent that outcome was
extremely expensive financially to the United States, with more than $141 billion expended. Measured in terms of 2025 dollars, that amount would be approximately $838 billion. Even worse was the terrible cost in blood. The war took the lives of more than 58,000 American soldiers and caused an estimated 3.8 million casualties, both civilian and military, in South Vietnam, North Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
Whitehall sources have suggested that Police Scotlandwas concerned the soldier may be linked to“extreme far-Right politics"...
By Tyler Durden: In 2015 the US Marines carried out a study to discern if women could
fulfill combat duty roles within mixed gender units. The study followed
an aggressive push by the Pentagon and the Obama 'The baby Bomber' Administration to
expand female participation on the front line. This included the much
hyped inclusion of women in Army Rangers training - The program was
later exposed for giving special treatment to the female trainees and
lowering their fitness standards. In essence, it was the beginning of
DEI within elite units in the military.
However, the Marines study
relied on merit based standards and was not skewed to make the Pentagon
brass happy. It told the truth: Women and mixed gender units offer
dismal performance in the field under pressure.
Data collected
during a months-long experiment showed Marine teams with female members
performed at lower overall levels, completed tasks more slowly and fired
weapons with less accuracy than their all-male counterparts. In
addition, female Marines sustained significantly higher injury rates and
demonstrated lower levels of physical performance capacity overall,
officials said. Any unit with women was dragged down.
Plan “would strongly increase side‐effects such as acid rain,” study authors admit...
Via JonFleetwood:Scientists
are proposing to modify Boeing 777 aircraft to spray sulfur dioxide
into the stratosphere in an attempt to cool the Earth in the name of
debunked, so-called “climate change”—despite fully acknowledging
the serious risk of acid rain and other environmental disasters.
A new study published today in Earth’s Future openly admits that this method, called stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI), would sharply increase dangerous side effects like acid rain because it requires “three times more” aerosol to achieve the same cooling effect compared to previous high-altitude schemes.
RIP - Refaat Alareer
(1979 - 2023)
Dr.
Refaat Alareer was a Palestinian writer, poet, translator, university
professor and activist from the occupied Gaza Strip. On December 6,
2023, he was murdered by an Israeli airstrike along with his brother,
sister and their children in Israel's ongoing genocidal siege of Gaza of
2023.
Just five weeks prior to his killing, he shared his poem titled "If I must die", and pinned it
to his Twitter profile. Amidst the outpouring of grief, as news of his
death spread online, many people from around the world paid tribute to
Refaat by offering their own translations of his prophetic poem in to their local languages.
This website is a collection of some of these dozens of heartfelt translations in memory and honor of Refaat Alareer, @itranslate123, and in support of the the Palestinian struggle for liberation.
