By Nikita Coulombe: I collected these studies in one place because women talk a lot about supporting other women but when it comes down to it, women often undermine each other in insidious ways.

That women in general cannot seem to get along with other women in the long-term has been one of the great disappointments of my life, and I do wonder if it’s possible to better support each other, have more productive relationships with men, and better serve our communities if we have a better understanding around our own behavior and motivations.
Without further ado:
1. Women damage rivals’ reputations but do not report explicitly disliking them: Competitive reputation manipulation: Women strategically transmit social information about romantic rivals.
2. Women report experiencing more incivility from other women in the workplace than from men: Further understanding incivility in the workplace: The effects of gender, agency, and communion.
3. Regardless of their own promiscuity, all female participants viewed sexually permissive women more negatively: Birds of a feather? Not when it comes to sexual permissiveness.

Surgical Robot "Spirals Out Of Control", Kills Man As Docs Sipped Lattes

Authored by Ethan Huff: In the name of scientific “progress,” Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital in the United Kingdom recently tried to pioneer the use of a surgical robot that it tasked with repairing a patient’s damaged heart valve, only to have the machine go completely bonkers and ultimately kill the man on the operating table.
According to reports, this first-time-use robot not only physically assaulted a living medic while attempting to conduct its programmed surgery, but also implanted stitches into the patient’s heart in a manner that physicians present during the fiasco described as notbeing in “an organised fashion.”
A situation that can only be described as total chaos, with human surgeons, doctors, and nurses having to scream at each other in order to overcome the “tinny” sound coming from the robot as they were trying to control it, the attempted surgery ended up being nothing short of a complete failure. And in the end, retired music teacher and conductor, Stephen Pettitt, the guinea pig patient in this medical experiment, ultimately lost his life.

The weird and wired click-clack of jackboot-stilettos echoes through the dim night, as we are made to dance in pairs to the frightbat tunes of the totalitarian tango.

Our civilization is turning to dust in one fleeting fall from grace, engineered by ideologues with selfspun halos `round their moonfaced grins, made from cotton picked in slave plantations by men with necks bent under the weight of someone elses projected thoughts. Here we go, picking cotton, picking a bit of cotton, listening to the mind boggling screech of the totalitarian tango.

As history comes full circle and we come to ourselves, we ought to reclaim what values we once had; we ought to value these grand memories, our building blocks, our beautiful ethics! We think, as we watch our values and our virtues and our moral integrity get rolled in the bog and labelled unclean, unfit for human consumption, that progression for the sake of regression is a grand stroke of divine inspiration, that it is a virtue equal to none, a virtue in and off itself, impossible to criticize, as we ourselves roll around in the filth, naked, whipped and bleeding, glancing at the icy rhythm of the totalitarian tango.

Consider the Battle of Tours. Beginning in 711 AD, a Muslim army under the Umayyad caliphate conquered a large swath of what is known today as Spain and Portugal, or the Iberian Peninsula. The tide began to recede only in 732 when the Germanic statesman and military leader, Charles Martel, with a force of some 20,000 men, emerged victorious against Muslim forces on a battlefield in southwestern France in what is known as the Battle of Tours.
Military historian Victor Davis Hanson emphasized the importance of the conflict when he wrote that "most of the 18th and 19th century historians, like [Edward] Gibbon, saw (Tours), as a landmark battle that marked the high tide of the Muslim advance into Europe."

Authored by Mac Slavo: As if more evidence is needed that bans don’t work, the United Kingdom’s knife crime 'epidemic' is soaring.  Even though there are incredibly strict knife control laws in the UK, public officials are declaring the knife violence a public health crisis.

On Wednesday, London police responded to separate stabbings within hours of each other, the victims, a young boy believed to be in his teens and a man, were sent to the hospital with life-threatening or serious stab wounds, according to a report by Fox News.
Of the five people stabbed this week, the youngest was a 15-year-old boy named Jay Hughes. Hughes was attacked outside a chicken shop in broad daylight. And that perfectly explains the horrific epidemic. During the first six months of the year, police recorded 39,332 knife crime offenses which is a 12 percent increase over last year, according to the Office for National Statistics. Other violent crimes, including murder and robbery, also increased by double-digit percentages proving bans will never work.

There have been virtually no sunspots in 2018 as solar activity has dropped to alarmingly low levels.  As a result, our atmosphere has been cooling and shrinking, and experts are warning that we are heading for a bitterly, bitterly cold winter.  And even though the official start of winter is well over a month away, winter weather is already sweeping the nation. 
As you will see below, a giant winter storm is about to slam into the east coast, but what is happening in Texas is even more unnerving.  On Wednesday morning, the temperature in San Antonio plummeted to just 23 degrees, and that absolutely shattered the old record…

“This shatters the old record low of 28 degrees set back in 1916,” the National Weather Service tweeted of Wednesday’s weather. Tuesday night just before midnight, the city hit 28 degrees, breaking the previous record of 29 set in 1907, records show.

By Doug Mortimer: One score and 15 years ago, I was working at a large advertising agency.  Among the accounts I was assigned to work on was a jewelry chain store.  Just one problem: I knew nothing about jewelry.  In fact, I had never been in a jewelry store.
Not to worry.  The ad agency had an in-house library filled with books, magazines, and journals related to the accounts they served, so I was able to get up to speed pretty quickly on the diamond industry.  What I learned was sobering.
Like the average dolt, I figured diamonds were rare and hence valuable.  Obviously, they were something of a status symbol for females; showing off a ring to one’s girl friends is a female rite of passage, and a big “rock” enhances a femme’s place in the pecking order.  A woman’s desirability is in proportion to the size of the rock on the ring.  Of course, having no ring at all consigns a woman to the lowest caste, though no feminist would ever admit that.  A woman needs a wedding ring like a fish needs a bicycle, don’t ya know.
