Assange has been imprisoned for a decade in one form or another.  He has spent recent years in solitary confinement, despite never being tried or convicted. The British who gave the world habeas corpus have denied the protection of law to Assange.  An utterly corrupt media has falsely presented Assange as a traitor to America, a ridiculous charge as he is not an American citizen.  How can a non-citizen be a traitor to a country?

Habeas corpus prevents a ruler from holding a person in prison without due process of law.  But Assange has been held indefinitely without presentation of evidence against him.  He is held on Washington’s demand alone.

On Saturday morning, an Illinois man stabbed a 6-year-old Muslim boy to death and slashed the boy's mother, in a brutal assault motivated by last week's Hamas attack on Israel, police say. The accused attacker, 71-year-old Joseph M. Czuba, is their landlord in Plainfield Township, about 40 miles southwest of downtown Chicago.

Host Scott Pelley asked Biden “Are the wars in Israel and Ukraine more than the United States can take on at the same time?”

Biden replied, “We’re the United States of America for God’s sake! The most powerful nation in the history, not in the (world), in the history of the world! The history of the world!”

He continued to blather, “We can take care of both of these and still maintain our overall international defense. We have the capacity to do this and we have an obligation to. We are the essential nation, to, to paraphrase the former secretary of State. And if we don’t who does?”

It seems Biden was attempting to quote Madeline Albright, who said in 1998 that America is the “indispensable nation.”
