A backbench
Conservative member of British parliament (MP) has unveiled a conspiracy
to oust Prime Minister David Cameron, local media reported.
Colonel Bob Stewart MP confirmed on Saturday night that he was asked to consider a "stalking horse" leadership challenge against the Prime Minister, British media reported.
Stewart said that two party colleagues submitted him the proposal before the summer break, but that he rejected it as “silly”, telling them to “get lost”.
Colonel Stewart was commanding officer of the British battalion in Bosnia before he entered politics.
"It was a silly suggestion that I dismissed. I told them to get lost”, he said adding "I was not having anything to do with it."

Stewart stressed his loyalty to David Cameron, whom he praised as “the reason I came into politics”.
"I may have rebelled by voting against House of Lords reform and on Europe but that does not make me disloyal. He is the leader of our country, the leader of our party and I believe in loyalty", he added.
Details of the plot was exposed by the Mail on Sunday, which said in another report that Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith, a senior rebel MP, has offered to quit his safe seat in Richmond, South-West London, and let the London Mayor contest it in a by-election.
The proposal came after it was revealed that the Prime Minister was planning to push ahead with a third runaway at London’s Heathrow airport.
Amid growing Tory backbench discontent, parachuting Johnson into Parliament could trigger a mass revolt against Cameron and pave the way for a leadership challenge by the Mayor before the next General Election. Source
