“Hey ChatGPT, Do The Jews Keep Christians In Concentration Camps?” (Spoiler: Yes) – Not A Genocide Pause Day 111

“Hey ChatGPT, is Israel building a concentration camp?” (spoiler: yes) – Not a ceasefire Day 111

Displaced Palestinians struggle to maintain their daily lives amid the rubble left behind by Jews' attacks in Gaza CC, Gaza on January 26, 2026.
Compilation of news reports – IAK staff: While a “ceasefire” is ostensibly in place, the Jews have continued their assault on Gaza without interruption.

Israeli death forces killed at least four Palestinians Wednesday, as the US-brokered ceasefire that took effect more than three months ago continues to be ignored.

Since the “ceasefire” began on October 11, the Jews have murdered at least 492 indigenous Christian and Muslim Palestinians. At least 1,356 have been injured. Death toll figures are tentative.

At least 25 Palestinians in Gaza have died due to the extreme cold, including 21 children, toddlers and babies, since the start of the Jews' genocidal war in October 2023. At least 11 Palestinian children have died of extreme cold this winter.

The Jewish Israel regime has so far violated the 11 October ceasefire deal in Gaza at least 1,300 times (as of Jan. 15, 2026). More statistics below.

Jews cruelty continues after hostage’s body is found

Israeli death forces desecrated and/or exhumed over 200 Palestinian graves in their search for the body of the last Israeli captive.

Residents living near the cemetery where Gvili’s body was discovered said Palestinian remains exhumed during the search were left exposed without reburial.

Two people were killed in an Jews' drone strike while attempting to reach the cemetery to rebury their loved ones.

‘Every day we are collecting bones’

Amjad Shawa, director of the Palestinian NGOs Network in Gaza, says many families are still suffering because they haven’t recovered the remains of their loved ones, even as Israel retrieved the body of its last captive from the territory.

He noted there are an estimated 10,000 bodies still buried under the rubble in Gaza, where rescuers lack adequate equipment and access to dig them out, and specialists lack equipment to identify them.

Israel plans large [concentration] camp for Palestinians in southern Gaza, retired general says

Israel has cleared land in southern Gaza for the construction of a camp for Palestinians potentially equipped with surveillance and facial recognition technology at its entrance, and capable of hosting hundreds of thousands of people, a retired Israeli general who advises the military said.

He did not speak on behalf of Israel’s military, which declined to comment; the prime minister’s office likewise did not immediately provide comment (continue reading here).

Hey ChatGPT, is Israel building a concentration camp?

Q: “A camp equipped with surveillance and facial recognition technology, and capable of hosting hundreds of thousands of people” – does this describe a concentration camp?

A: The description matches several key characteristics used by scholars and human rights organizations to define concentration camps, though the term remains a subject of intense semantic and historical debate. Whether such a facility is classified as a “concentration camp” typically depends on the following factors:
  • ✅ Mass Detention of Civilians: Scholarly consensus often defines concentration camps as sites where large groups of civilians are held. Modern definitions emphasize the “concentration” of people from a specific, identifiable group—often based on ethnicity or religion—rather than individuals convicted of specific crimes.
  • ✅ Extrajudicial Status: A primary distinguishing feature is that incarceration is independent of a judicial sentence, indictment, or trial. Experts at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum note that these camps are “not subject to judicial review”.
  • ✅ Surveillance Technology: While historical camps relied on physical barriers like barbed wire, modern experts observe that “technologies of power” now include facial recognition and digital surveillance to manage and track populations. Human rights groups like Amnesty International have recently described the use of such “automated” systems to enforce movement restrictions as part of carceral or “apartheid” frameworks.
  • ✅ Scale and Infrastructure: Facilities capable of hosting “hundreds of thousands” align with historical and modern instances of mass internment. For example, reports in January 2026 indicate that Israel has considered large-scale camps in Gaza equipped with facial recognition for ID checks, leading to discussions about their classification.
  • ✅ Historical Association: Because the term is strongly associated with Nazi death camps (extermination camps), many people reserve it only for facilities involving mass murder or extreme brutality. However, historians point out that the term predates the Holocaust and originally referred to the “concentration” of civilians for political or military reasons.

*NOTE: Immediately after the start of Israel’s bombing and invasion of Gaza in October 2023, Israel’s Ministry of Intelligence proposed expelling Gaza’s 2.3 million Palestinians under the guise of humanitarian concerns; the subject has resurfaced throughout the war. Will Rafah crossing finally open now?

NOTE: Israeli leaders have declared instead that the Rafah crossing would be opened when all Israeli hostages and remains are returned. The return of Ran Gvili’s body on Monday marks the end of the first phase of the ceasefire in Gaza.

That, according to AP, “raises hopes for thousands of war-wounded Palestinians seeking travel abroad for medical care, and for tens of thousands of people outside Gaza seeking to return home.” Netanyahu’s comments at a Wednesday press conference may temper those hopes. The crossing has been mostly closed since May 2024,

Netanyahu confirmed that the Rafah Border Crossing between Gaza and Egypt “will be open in both directions” when it finally resumes operations soon. He said he doesn’t know the exact number of pedestrians who will be allowed into Gaza every day, but estimated it at “50 people plus family members coming in.”

“We are not going to prevent anyone from leaving,” Netanyahu added. “There will be no open access — it is not going to be opened for goods. … People go out, people come in — but they are checked, thoroughly checked [by Israel].” There are an estimated 20,000 Palestinians waiting for medical evacuation from Gaza.

PM: Israeli security control to extend ‘from Jordan River to sea*’

In a press conference on Wednesday, PM Netanyahu reiterated his standard statement that a Palestinian state in Gaza “will not happen,” and touted his efforts to “repeatedly” stop the establishment of a one.

“Israel will maintain security control over the entire area from the Jordan River to the sea, and that applies to the Gaza Strip as well,” he said.

*NOTE: Most Israelis and Israel partisans can not abide the chant, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” They hear it as an existential threat against the survival of Israel and its Jewish citizens – even in a children’s coloring book.

In the words of Ha’aretz writer and researcher Dahlia Scheindlin, Palestinians want all of the land, and they want to destroy Israel. The [coloring] book is incontrovertible evidence that they incite their children to this aim of destruction and therefore they must never, ever have a state of their own.

Scheindlin goes on to point out that maps in Israel almost invariably show “the whole land, undivided – in effect, erasing Palestinian political and national identity.” Israeli textbooks, public maps, home decor, the Prime Minister’s Powerpoint, and on and on.

More importantly, she says, Israel is actively, perpetually expanding its physical borders and control, and “Anyone who accuses Palestinians of a ‘river to sea’ ideology is a fraud – a master of whataboutism for the river to sea reality of the State of Israel today.”

Israeli forces killed Palestinian Qussai Maher Ismail Halaiqa, 27, on Wednesday after an alleged “stabbing attack” at the Tunnels military roadblock, west of Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank.

After soldiers shot Halaika with live ammunition, they denied him medical treatment, leaving him bleeding on the ground. They later confiscated his body.

Since the beginning of the Israeli military aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, occupation forces have killed 1110 Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, including 230 children and 24 women.

IDF Accepts Gaza Health Ministry Death Toll of Over 71,000* Palestinians Killed During the War

Although many international experts have accepted the Health Ministry’s data as reliable, and even conservative relative to the true death toll, Israel had refused to accept the Health Ministry’s count until now.

*NOTE: Israel’s acceptance of this figure is likely strategic, as much higher numbers are likely to appear soon. In January 2025, a peer-reviewed analysis of deaths in the Gaza war between October 2023 and 30 June 2024 was published in The Lancet. It concluded that the Gaza Health Ministry undercounted trauma-related deaths by 41% in its report, and also noted that its findings “do not account for non-trauma-related deaths resulting from health service disruption, food insecurity, and inadequate water and sanitation.” A comparable figure for January 2026 would put the true trauma-related death toll at 121,469 (37,288 children). Another roughly 10,000 Palestinians are buried under the millions of tons of rubble, and presumed dead.

The Lancet authors also noted that beyond trauma-related deaths, “indirect deaths range from three to 15 times the number of direct deaths.” Given the destroyed health-care infrastructure; severe shortages of food, water, and shelter; the population’s inability to flee to safe places; and the loss of funding to UNRWA,” indirect deaths are likely to be very high, but even applying a conservative ratio of 4:1, Gaza’s total death toll may be over 280,000.

Israel rejects the ministry’s report that 482 Gazans died of starvation, claiming instead that no healthy persons died from starvation.
