Denmark has dramatically tightened its asylum policies, banning the Muslim full-face veil for women citing cultural incompatibility with Danish values, sharply reducing welfare payments to foreigners, stricter citizenship requirements and defends its welfare state and cultural cohesion.
Denmark’s Anti-Multiculturalist Approach to Immigration: Denmark, a small Nordic country of about six million people, has become the toughest Western European nation in combating radical Islam and managing immigration. Unlike larger neighbours like Sweden, France, or Germany, Denmark has instituted a comprehensive, multifaceted “wall”—legal, cultural, and political—to prevent what it sees as civilizational fragmentation.
As Denmark’s Social Democrats opted for radically tightened immigration policies, it also lead to a historic political realignment. “Denmark has some of the strictest asylum legislation in Europe. The country grants only temporary asylum to refugees, regardless of their need for protection. It has tightened laws on family reunion, and introduced policies focused on prioritising deportation, rather than integration,” writes The Conversation:
“The social democrat Mette Frederiksen won Denmark’s 2019 elections on a platform of radical reforms to a stricter migration policies. Frederiksen has justified such policies by pitting the challenges of immigration against the affordability of public services and the welfare state.”
This approach contrasts sharply with the multiculturalism model commonly embraced elsewhere in Europe, reports The Fall of Nations.
The Danish experience marks the end of multiculturalism and globalist open borders, and a new beginning for Danish national identity, social cohesion, and cultural unity based on the indigenous Danish traditions. At the core of Denmark’s approach is the belief that a high-trust, generous welfare society can only survive if there is deep cultural cohesion and shared social norms.
The Social Democrat zero-refugee policy and integration demands reshaped Danish politics, marginalizing once-influential far-right parties by absorbing their platforms. The Danish government contends that multiculturalism has failed to preserve this cohesion, risking the collapse of the welfare state if cultural fragmentation continues unchecked.
