Deaths during police contact, England & Wales
By MRA-UK: The data below on deaths during, or following, police contact in England and Wales have been taken from the report by the Independent Office for Police Conduct, and relates to 2017/18.
The death statistics are broken down into five categories,

• Road traffic fatalities;
• Fatal shootings;
• Deaths in , or following, police custody;
• Apparent suicides following police custody;
• Other deaths following police contact.

Road traffic fatalities relate to the deaths of motorists, cyclists or pedestrians arising from police pursuits or from police vehicles responding to emergency calls, etc. It does not include deaths in other traffic incidents which the police attend but were not involved in the incident.

It is the latest win for the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement.
The public statement calls for sanctions, including a ban on sales of settlement goods and an end to the arms trade with the Jews.

Disposability Versus Exploitation

What is disposable? Something is disposable when it has little or no value and can be easily replaced and readily discarded. Disposable cutlery is one of example of this. Highly valuable items that cannot be easily replaced or readily discarded, are not something we consider to be disposable. Famous paintings come to mind as one example of what we would not consider to be disposable. I have always had a problem with the concept of male disposability as a generalised description of the state of men’s lives throughout history. People that are truly disposable are exterminated in death camps and dehumanised to the point their very right to exist is challenged. Genocide is what the end result of disposability of a group looks like at a societal level. When society considers a group of people to be disposable, they are disposed of. There is a difference between facing discrimination or being marginalised and actually being considered to be disposable.

Please read this two part article in its entirety before you comment or form opinions about what I am saying. Disposability implies that society considers men to be of little or no value and something to be eradicated. Throughout history it is certainly the case that we have always had some degree of misandry in the culture.

“In the framework of military and technical cooperation between Russia and Syria, the Russian side handed over the second batch of advanced and modernized MiG-29 fighter jets to Syria, during a ceremony at Hmeimim base. As of June 1, 2020, Syrian pilots will begin to carry out missions on those planes in Syrian airspace,” Syrian news agency SANA quoted a senior military officer as saying.

For the most part, a cop is out there alone, or with a single partner; they are almost always outnumbered by civilians. Particularly in areas where they know they are unpopular, they feel it is imperative to not let things get out of control. They want to be the one who starts and ends the encounter, who sets the speaking turns (micro-sociology of conversation), who sets the rhythm of the interaction.
