What Was World War II About?

'In actual fact there were many agendas at play and they had next to nothing to do with freedom and democracy.'

By Dr. Paul Craig Roberts: In the United States the feel good explanation is that the war was about making freedom and democracy safe.  In actual fact there were many agendas at play, and they had next to nothing to do with freedom and democracy.

World War II Has many origins.  For Germany the war originated in the Versailles Treaty that stripped Germany of territory and imposed reparations for World War I in violation of President Wilson’s Fourteen Points.  Hitler wanted German territory returned from France, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, and Poland, and to unify the German people.

For Japan it was desire for colonies or empire like the Europeans and the need for raw materials and energy.

For the British disturbed by revanchist Germany the concern was maintaining British hegemony over Europe. For Churchill war was the road to power and an opportunity to be a great war leader like his famous ancester, the Duke of Marlborough.

Urban Dictionary Banned "Blue Anon" Entry Defining Liberal Conspiracy Theorists And Google Censored The Search

"I have never even heard of a word being banned from @UrbanDictionary..."

By Tyler Durden: The Urban Dictionary, which allows users to submit virtually any phrase with any definition, has removed a reference to "Blue Anon" - a new phrase mocking leftists for their belief in right-wing conspiracy theories, "such as the Russia Hoax, Jussie Smollett hoax, Ukraine hoax, Covington Kids hoax, and Brett Kavanaugh hoax."

The move comes just 24 hours after journalist Jack Posobiec pointed out the Blue Anon entry to his more than 1 million Twitter followers:

A Russian Class In Geopolitics 101

Whether in Ukraine or Georgia, Vladimir Putin's actions shouldn't come as a surprise to an aggressive United States.

By Robert W. Merry: Suppose China formed a provocative alliance with Mexico and began building military bases and stationing troops near the U.S. southern border. Now suppose it lured Cuba also into its new hemispheric alliance and imperiled U.S. control over its Guantanamo naval base on that island. What would happen? Almost inevitably, the result would be war because America would never allow such a potentially hostile entrenchment within its sphere of influence.

That’s essentially the question Russia faces as America and NATO continue to flirt with the notion of pulling Ukraine into the Atlantic alliance (and Georgia too when circumstances seem right). And Russia’s answer is essentially the same: It will not allow that to happen. Any nation has a fundamental need to fend off potential threats from within its neighborhood and hence to maintain protective spheres of influence. The University of Chicago’s John J. Mearsheimer calls this “Geopolitics 101.”

Yanis Varoufakis: Capitalism Has Become 'Techno-Feudalism'

"The top 0.01% is doing very well thank you and the rest of global society is suffering."

Al Jazeera: A recent Oxfam study found that since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the world’s richest 10 billionaires have seen a wealth increase of half a trillion dollars – enough to pay for every person on the planet to get a vaccine.

Marc Lamont Hill discusses with economist and former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis what is driving the staggering wealth inequalities and how governments are offering socialism for the rich, and austerity for the rest.

Everywhere In The West Citizens Have Lost Confidence In Government - Global Health Workers Resist Taking Vaccines

“Complete Loss of Trust”: Half of French Health Workers Say They’ll Resist Taking Vaccine
Astounding new figures out of France suggest what is no doubt a broader global trend of hesitancy and skepticism when it comes to the current big push to ‘vaccinate all’.

By Zero Hedge: Reuters in covering the country’s vaccine rollout finds that merely around “half of health workers in French care homes do not want to be vaccinated” — even after many of these routinely witness the ravages of COVID-19 on the elderly and infirm.

“There’s a complete loss of trust,” one home health care worker and trade union representative was cited in the report as saying, reflecting resistance to the growing pressure put on often underpaid staff in difficult working conditions who are being ordered to get vaccinated lest they risk the safety of the elderly patients. And another reflected a common answer of “I’m going to wait a bit”.

Vaccine Passports Were Always Part Of The Plan

"You are being held hostage at needle point! Your rights and freedoms are now contingent upon being injected by the government on a regular basis with lord only knows what! ...This is pure evil! ...After all the people behind this agenda ultimately want population reduction."

88% Of COVID Deaths Occurred In Countries Where Over Half Of Population Overweight - UK, Italy And USA

'In countries where less than half of the adult population is considered overweight, the risk of death from COVID-19 is around one-tenth of countries with the higher proportion of overweight adults.'

By Tyler Durden: A new report by the World Obesity Federation found that 88% of deaths in the first year of the pandemic occurred in countries where over half of the population is classified as overweight - which is defined as having a body mass index (BMI) above 25. Of note, BMI values above 30 - considered obese - are associated with 'particularly severe outcomes,' according to the Washington Post.

On the other hand, in countries where less than half of the adult population is considered overweight, the risk of death from COVID-19 is around one-tenth of countries with the higher proportion of overweight adults. Higher BMIs are also associated with an increased risk of hospitalization, ICU admissions, and the need for mechanically assisted ventilation.
