Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov gave an interview at the East Asia Summit in Phnom Penh (Cambodia). Theses: NATO claims to play a leading role in the Indo-Pacific region. And they are already moving the so-called Defense Line to the South China Sea. And here there is a tendency to militarize this region by combining the efforts of local allies of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan with the expansion of NATO's presence here. Russia said all this frankly at the summit.

As an example, someone who takes pride in being honest, feels such discomfort when he tells a lie.

Another example of cognitive dissonance is the discomfort felt by members of a cult when they seek to explain how the end of the world was postponed, as their apocalyptic prophecy did not come true.

The term was in fact coined by psychologist Leon Festinger in his studies of such cults in the 1950s.

The opposite of cognitive dissonance is doublethink, a word that first appeared in George Orwell’s 1984.

By MRA-UK: The Domestic Abuse Act 2021 became law on 29 April 2021. The long sorry saga of this parade of discrimination masquerading as care and protection began in 2018. But it did not end when the Act became law. The grand finale, or to be more precise, the grand nadir, came only in July 2022.

I had not the heart to blog about it at the time. After several years of DA Act related posts and submissions, I had rather run out of steam – and there was nothing to celebrate and nothing further to be done in the context of that Act. I reprise the sequence of events and some of the key issues in the Appendices below.

Before proceeding to the main event, which will focus on parental alienation, I draw to your attention some matters covered in the Appendices. I have never previously posted on a couple of key issues that emerged during this saga and so take the opportunity to do so in Appendices B and C.
