In Oceania, the state had total control over the language, economy, science, history, personal possessions, personal thoughts, music, art and literature. In the U.S. today, however, it is not difficult to see how government intrusion and control reduces freedom, creates fear and confusion, reduces economic opportunity and prosperity, distorts history and science and creates unnecessary interpersonal conflict.

Within it under Clause 248 the Government has included a statutory instrument to create criminal offenses for property's that do not meet their Net Zero targets. Included are maximum fines of £15000 and maximum prison terms of 12 months. This can be used to take property away from "offenders" for future redevelopment towards 15 minute cities.

Most reporting on his speech focused on his announcement of an imminent peace treaty with Saudi Arabia, ignored his fabrications and lies, and mentioned the erasure of Palestine as an afterthought – if at all.

One issue that should be disturbing to anyone with an eye for peace with justice is in the un-subtle message of Netanyahu’s visual aids.
