Liberman said his decision followed Tuesday’s ceasefire agreement between the Jewish apartheid state Israel and the Palestinian elected representatives and freedom fighters Hamas. Liberman’s action was essentially an open admission that Hamas had won the latest round of violence. “What happened yesterday, the ceasefire, together with the deal with Hamas, is a capitulation to terror. There is no other way of explaining it,” Liberman told reporters on Wednesday.

By : One score and 15 years ago, I was working at a large advertising agency. Among the accounts I was assigned to work on was a jewelry chain store. Just one problem: I knew nothing about jewelry. In fact, I had never been in a jewelry store.Not to worry. The ad agency had an in-house library filled with books, magazines, and journals related to the accounts they served, so I was able to get up to speed pretty quickly on the diamond industry. Like the average dolt, I figured diamonds were rare and hence valuable. Obviously, they were something of a status symbol for females; showing off a ring to one’s girl friends is a female rite of passage, and a big “rock” enhances a femme’s place in the pecking order. A woman’s desirability is in proportion to the size of the rock on the ring. Of course, having no ring at all consigns a woman to the lowest caste, though no feminist would ever admit that. A woman needs a wedding ring like a fish needs a bicycle, don’t ya know.

On my first day at the University I had to complete a few routine administrative duties such as registering my name with the philosophy department and meeting my supervisors. I was also told that I had to join the student union. Being a subservient type, I walked over to the Student Union hall where I soon realized that the task was slightly more complicated than I had expected. There were a plethora of student unions to choose from: The Black Student Union, The Asian Student Association, The Socialist Students, The Gay Student Society and more. Confused, I asked for assistance. They asked where I was from. When I told them “Israel,” I was told that the “Jewish Student Union” was my home.
It was then, at the Student Union Hall, that I first encountered the identity split between Israel and the Jewish Diaspora. It would take some time before I was able to define this binary tension in philosophical or post political terms and before I understood the Jewish dilemma in terms of Nationalist/Identitarian dialectics. Speaking to i24NEWS last week, the renowned political dissident, linguist and scholar repeated warnings given by Yeshayahu Leibowitz, an Israeli public intellectual, biochemist and polymath, concerning the dehumanising effect of Israel’s brutal occupation of Palestine on the victims and the oppressors.
Chomsky commented on remarks by Leibowitz who was nominated for the Israel Prize saying that “Leibowitz warned that if the occupation continues, Israeli Jews are going to turn into what he called, Judeo-Nazis”. Chomsky recognised the description was a “strong term” and that most people wouldn’t be able to get away with describing Israel in this manner but explained that Leibowitz’s status meant that he was able to speak about Israel without incurring fury.

Local official Hasan Bureija said that the clashes started after soldiers tried to appropriate outdoor play equipment from children’s park near Tahadi school.

Both Grenell and Levin are close to Bolton, with the former having served as Bolton’s spokesman and the latter having worked closely with Bolton at the Department of Justice in the Reagan administration.
