The Biden administration has asked top Democrats to decouple the federal government’s Covid relief spending package from its much larger bill for funding of the US proxy war against Russia in Ukraine, because one of those two things is too controversial and contentious to pass quickly.

Guess which one.

RN: On May 9, in Moscow on Red Square, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Russians on the holiday dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9, 1945. Russia celebrates 77th anniversary for victory.

The parade was opened by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

In his speech, Putin congratulated the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, and also thanked all the servicemen taking part in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine to protect the inhabitants of Donbass.
