KernowDamo: Andy Burnham’s government has triumphantly slapped a brand new “double lock” label on its Israel arms policy, which apparently means absolutely nothing, since Parliament sheepishly admitted that not a single extra export licence has actually been revoked or suspended, making it even worse than Starmer’s earlier version. So what’s still slipping through the cracks? Oh, just the usual: F-35 bits floating around the global arms bazaar, M-346 trainer jet parts as well, and the rest of the UK-Israel defence system ticking along nicely. I’ll wade through the government’s latest attempt at smoke and mirrors, the Foreign Office’s own-brand confusion, and why Labour’s big Palestine recognition gesture is about as meaningful as a blue tick on Twitter if the arms keep flowing.
