Israel is using the United States to destabilize the Middle East with the ultimate goal of ensuring the regime’s survival.
Orwellian UK BANNED Press TV: In an interview with Press TV on Monday, Kevin Barrett said Washington follows the “antiquated” policy of opposing public demands for democracy and freedom in the Middle East for fear that democratic moves would endanger the security of the Israeli regime.
The political analyst also put into question the US claim of advocating democracy, arguing that Washington fell short of supporting the “peaceful non-violent protest” movement of Bahrainis for human rights and democracy.
The United States “runs Bahrain as its own base,” Barrett said, adding that demands of Bahrainis “come second” to America’s interests.
He also slammed the West’s support for Takfiri militants in Syria and its refusal to acknowledge the recent democratic presidential election in the Arab country, which resulted in the re-election of Bashar al-Assad.

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has strongly condemned the Israeli regime for abducting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, saying the “cowardly” move violates international conventions.
Orwellian UK BANNED Press TV: In a statement issued on Monday, Hamas said the abduction of dozens of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank was a “flagrant violation of all international conventions and a cowardly act that exposes the spirit of defeatism and wallow” among the Israelis.
Ahmed Bahar, a senior Hamas official, also warned Israel of the repercussions of detaining Palestinian figures, saying that Palestinians have the right to “resist occupation with all available means.”
On June 16, Israeli troops took away Palestinian Parliament Speaker Aziz Dweik in a wave of abductions in connection with the alleged disappearance of three teenage settlers.
More than 150 Palestinians have so far been abducted under the pretext of the alleged disappearance. Israel claims the teens went missing in the West Bank last week, accusing Hamas of kidnapping them.
However, Hamas rejects the claim, saying Tel Aviv seeks to sabotage the recent reconciliation accord reached between the movement and Fatah, which led to the formation of the Palestinian national unity government.
Hamas leaders Hassan Yousef, Wasfi Qabaha, Khaled Abu Arafeh and Mohammed Totah have been among those recently abducted by Israel.

“That is the single biggest factor that is driving the US to become the enemies of the people of the region, because the moment the people of the region are empowered and prosperous and peaceful and democratic and stable, that is the end of the Zionist regime [of Israel],” Barrett stated. To guarantee its survival, the analyst said, the Tel Aviv regime uses the United States as a tool to destabilize the Middle East.
“The Zionists are dedicated to destabilizing the region and they are using their power in America to push US Middle East policy in that unfortunate direction,” Barrett added.

Tel Aviv would fail to achieve its goals by abducting Palestinian leaders, said Hamas, stressing, “It will only increase our people’s determination to proceed with their steadfastness and resolve until they achieve their demands and legitimate goals.”The resistance movement called on the Arab and Muslim countries in the world to condemn the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli regime.
