Sarah and I spoke for a considerable length of time, but less than three minutes survived the editing process, 14:41 to 17:33. To her credit she was friendly and polite - more so off-air than on-air, it has to be said - a rare thing for a radical feminist.
Not a second of Ray's interview made it onto the programme, although he's a far more polished speaker on TV and radio than myself. That's probably the very reason his interview didn't appear. He was later not invited onto the BBC Radio Nottingham Broxtowe hustings.
The first section of the programme extract 00:00 - 14:40 consists of the presenter interviewing four of the Broxtowe candidates. I understand Ray wasn't invited onto that discussion (he gets a very fleeting mention at 20:12).
At 17:34 the female presenter asks the candidates what their parties would do to entice women aged 18-24 to vote, as this is the group least likely to vote.
