Is Star Trek A Communist Conspiracy?

By Anthropologist David Graeber thinks the society depicted by Star Trek is the ultimate left-wing social organization. He writes,
The Federation, then, is Leninism brought to it’s full and absolute cosmic success
– a society where secret police, reeducation camps, and show trials are not necessary because a happy conjecture of material abundance and ideological conformity ensures the system can now run entirely by itself.
I think he’s full of shit. Or am I just good at convincing myself to ignore the things I don’t agree with?
