He has the distinction of being the only man in the U.S. to be elected three times to the Board of the National Organization for Women in New York City. We discuss how growing up without a father in the home affects boys, and how it’s connected with a lack of purpose, mental illness, and a propensity for violence. We also explore Dr. Farrell’s views on the traditional roles of men—breadwinner in peacetime and warrior in wartime—how this has shifted in contemporary society, and the impact of that on America and around the world.
