ICMI20: Eccentrik Hat - "Why Men Need Help And Why Feminism Won't Help Them"

Justice for Men & Boys, & the women who love them: Eccentrik Hat has been interested in Men’s Rights since 2014 and an active contributor to the movement since 2015. His first-ever video, The Reality of Feminism, has garnered over one million views across the various channels it has been posted on. Growing up, he was surrounded by females.

When he and his sisters would go to visit their cousins on a regular basis, he was the only boy among as many as eleven children. As a result, Hat always got on well with women, but felt left out when they would celebrate the prominence of “girl power” in ‘90s media. The lack of positive male media caused him to become fascinated with gender politics as he got older. Many of the stories he would pen as a budding creative writer focused on gender as a core theme. Sadly, when he was sixteen, he developed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from a childhood incident and isolated himself for many years. During this period of anxiety, he began to take much of the anti-male feminist rhetoric to heart. It was Karen Straughan’s video “Feminism and the Disposable Male”...
