Jimmy Dore: CNN contributing physician Leana Wen was once among the hardest-line COVID alarmists, but now that the virus has mutated and the mostly mild omicron BA.5 has become the dominant variant, Wen is changing her tune. Rather than protect her family and herself at all costs, she has decided to let her small children go mask-free at school. Not only does she consider this a risk worth taking, she also expresses concern that mask-wearing has delayed her older son’s language development.
