Russian President Vladimir Putin held a government meeting on the global food crisis and providing Russia with food and fertilizers. Theses: Sanctions against Russia threaten to turn into a further deterioration of the situation, a global food crisis, towards which the world has been going for several years. This is completely unrelated to Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. In former years, exports exceeded imports, which means that today the United States imports more food from world markets than it sells. At the same time, grain from Ukraine continues to go past the poorest countries. As of September 23, 2022, out of 203 ships that left the ports of Ukraine, only four went to the poorest countries under the United Nations program.
