Jimmy Dore: Since the end of World War II the United States has had a near stranglehold on Western European policymakers — compelling countries like the U.K., Germany and France to go along with American imperialist efforts in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Now those virtual vassal states may be reconsidering their adherence to U.S. foreign policy as the U.S. empire begins to disintegrate while China merely gains in stature and influece on the global stage.
