TOI: Satellite images have revealed significant damage to Abu Dhabi’s Al Dhafra Air Base following a missile strike by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The facility, which hosts around 2,000 U.S. troops, including drone operators and F-35 stealth fighter units, sustained heavy damage to multiple hangars. Airbus Defence and Space Pléiades Neo satellite imagery shows one hangar shredded by fire and another with roof damage, highlighting the strike’s impact on repair and logistics areas. Al Dhafra has long been a strategic hub for U.S. operations in southwest Asia, with the American presence only recently publicly acknowledged by the UAE.
