Julia Hartley-Brewer On The Ched Evans Case

Mike Buchanan: Following the welcome Not Guilty verdict in the Ched Evans case, we’ve had an increase of hits on this (video, 17:26), an extract from an episode of Question Time from January 2015. Ched Evans, then recently released from prison after serving two and a half years of a five year prison sentence, had been seeking to return to professional football.
This is an extract from my original description:

I was interested to watch her (Julia Hartley-Brewer’s) contribution to last Thursday’s Question Time, in which a lady in the audience asked the following question:
“After serving his sentence for rape, should footballer Ched Evans be given a chance to continue with his career?”
To my mind, Julia’s response was the only one from any of the five panelists which demonstrated intellect, fair-mindedness, and compassion.
