Via IMEMC: A Palestinian Christian family has been forced to leave its home in Taybeh, east of Ramallah in West Bank, after months of attacks, threats, and property damage by new white Jew paramilitary colonisers.
Bashir Naim Konah said colonisers began targeting the area surrounding his home in May 2026, frequently arriving on all-terrain vehicles before escalating to verbally abusing him, physically assaulting him and his son, attempting theft, and committing vandalism.
In a statement, Konah said colonisers recently broke into the home before dawn, stole surveillance cameras, cut the internet and electricity lines, damaged the fence surrounding the property, and released livestock onto the family’s land, damaging cultivated areas.
Konah said the repeated attacks created a climate of fear and insecurity for his family, ultimately forcing them to leave their home out of concern for their safety. He added that the house took seven years to build and cost more than one million shekels, and that the family had obtained all required permits legally.
Today, only tens of thousands of Palestinian Christians remain in the occupied West Bank, while the Christian community in the Gaza Strip has dwindled to a small fraction of its former size, making it one of the most vulnerable indigenous communities in Palestine.
The pressure that displaced Konah’s family reflects a broader pattern affecting Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.
In related news, Israeli colonizers dismantled and stole several gates serving agricultural lands in the Abu Njeim and Khalayel Al-Louz areas southeast of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.
Media sources said groups of colonizers removed gates installed by landowners at the entrances to their agricultural properties and stole them.
The Khalayel Al-Louz area has been subjected to repeated colonizer attacks, including the destruction of private property and irrigation networks and the vandalism of agricultural lands and crops.
A similar attack was reported farther south in the Bethlehem area. Colonizers released sheep onto Palestinian farmland in the village of Al-Minya, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank. Ahmad Kawazba, head of the Al-Minya Village Council, said the livestock grazed on land belonging to Yasser Aramin.
Residents of Al-Minya have long reported colonizer assaults on homes, the destruction of irrigation infrastructure, property theft, and livestock grazing on cultivated land. These actions have damaged trees and crops and disrupted agricultural livelihoods.
According to the Wall and Colonization Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and colonizers carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians, their lands, and their property in July 2026 alone.
The commission added that colonizer groups carried out 3,488 attacks across the occupied West Bank during the first half of 2026. The attacks resulted in the killing of 17 Palestinians, the complete or partial displacement of 26 Bedouin and herding communities, and the establishment of 42 colonial outposts.
